A magnificent mountain with a fantastic craggy summit and amazing views. A peaceful area for hiking with a number of summits in the area that you can tick off on a long hike. As others have said, it can be very boggy and wet in places so take good waterproof boots and walking poles can be helpful over the narrow wooden boards in places. A very striking and photogenic mountain that can be enjoyed from every angle. Well worth hiking and it'll be a lot more peaceful than more popular summits.

First mountain I’ve climbed - it was great. The clockwise trek took about 6 hrs to complete. Beautiful scenery, very peaceful. Not busy at all. Loads of sheep around. Agree with other reviews that parts are boggy/muddy but some were covered with planks and rocks. There was a loose cow at the bottom though lol. We parked at a “free” parking spot (it has a box for donations) that had a portaloo (which was very well kept.

A long walk from the car park at Llanuwchllyn, broad north ridge rises gently with a final steepening to Aran Bemlly. Then undulations to the final rocky approach to Aran Fawddwy A superb viewpoint, panoramic vista from Snowdon to The Wrekin. Either return the same way or go right before Aran Bennlyn, down the grassy tomgue and then north, by a choice of routes to Cwm Cross.

Great hidden gem away from the more popular mountains! We only saw 5 other people on the entire walk. It's a challenging hike with a bit of a scramble at the end, and there are some very boggy areas. Amazing views from the top. Took us 5 hours in total, we parked in Llanuwchllyn. Make sure you don't give up on finding the trig point, it's hard to find when it's cloudy up there but...
