I used this daycare for my dog until recently, and overall my experience with the business has been frustrating due to a lack of transparency and poor customer service. When I first signed up, I requested to see the daycare facilities before leaving my dog, which should have been a reasonable request. They refused, and when I noticed they had CCTV, I asked if I could at least view that to get an idea of the space. The staff seemed uncertain about whether even this was allowed, and it took them getting approval from the manager before it was finally permitted. This hesitation raised red flags about their openness from the start but despite this I decided to use them because they had good reviews and good facilities. While my dog was attending daycare, I didn't have issues with the service itself and the staff seemed friendly when I dropped off and picked up my dog. A review left a couple of months ago by former member of staff has however left me feeling a bit worried if I had the wool pulled over my eyes about how the dogs might have been treated. The real problems arose when they shut down their daycare without notifying me. I only found out when I mistakenly tried to book what I thought was a daycare session, assuming that "boarding" for a single day meant the same thing. After the request was declined credit from previous daycare cancellations were deducted from my account, but I had never been informed that daycare was no longer an option. The business claims they sent an email, but I was not on their marketing list, and they made no other effort to notify me, despite holding my credits. I had only ever used day care, and no other services they provide. After I contacted them requesting a refund, they first reinstated the credits instead of processing my refund as requested, trying to encourage me to instead use the credits for their boarding service. When I pushed further, they cited their terms and conditions, specifically stating that they couldnât give refunds after six monthsâdespite the fact that my bookings were only five months old. However, I later discovered a Facebook comment on their post about closing the daycare where another customer asked how to get a refund for their credits. The business had replied publicly, saying, that of course, everybody who has credits will be able to get a refund. Yet when I requested the same, I was met with resistance and had to go back and forth multiple times to get them to honour their own statement. It was only after repeated emails that they finally agreed to process the refund, labelling it a âgesture of goodwill.â However, this was not a goodwill gestureâit was simply honouring a request that should never have required this much effort, and indeed fell within their own terms and conditions! Responses overall have been defensive rather than helpful, making it clear that covering themselves is prioritised above customer satisfaction. If you value transparency and ease of communication, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Despite their reputation and impressive facilities, this business seems to operate with an air of superiority. Having a lake, acres of land, and glowing reviews doesnât excuse poor customer service or the inability to handle a simple refund request with basic...
Read moreDog's Country Club is truly a cut above the rest when it comes to dog boarding.
From the moment you arrive, it is clear that this isnât just another kennelâit's a home away from home for dogs. The staff here are exceptional, going above and beyond to ensure that every dog in their care is treated with love, respect, and personalised attention. What truly impresses me is how well they know and cater to each dogâs individual needs.
I have been using Dog's Country Club for about eight months now, and I cannot fault them.My dog, Kai, has just finished boarding with them for the third time. What makes them unique is the time they take to get to know each dog's personality and routines, which makes all the difference in the comfort and happiness of every dog during their stay.
The facilities at Dog's Country Club are top-notch. Spacious, clean kennels, expansive play areas, and a variety of enrichment activities make this place stand out. The daily exercise routines are well thought out, ensuring that every dog gets plenty of physical activity and mental stimulation.
During his stay, Kai participated in their doggy day care clubs, which are a fantastic additionâhe had so much fun interacting with other dogs, playing games, and enjoying the structured activities that kept him entertained and happy.
One of the most reassuring aspects of Dog's Country Club is their tracking system. I received photo updates and could see how Kai was doing. It was wonderful to see him enjoying his time and to have that peace of mind knowing he was in such capable hands. The level of communication is something Iâve never experienced elsewhere and made me feel completely at ease.
In addition to their exceptional boarding services, Kai has also attended two training courses at Dog's Country Club, and I couldnât be more pleased with the results. The trainers are knowledgeable, patient, and truly understand how to work with each dogâs unique temperament and needs. Iâm looking forward to our next training sessionâonce Iâve decided on the course! They have so many fantastic options to choose from.
One of the highlights of Kaiâs experience has been the weekend play sessions. These sessions are incredible! They allow dogs to mix, socialize, and play together in a secure, happy environment. The staff closely supervise these interactions, ensuring that all dogs are safe and having a great time. Itâs wonderful to see Kai make new friends and burn off energy in such a positive, well-managed setting. Itâs clear that these sessions are as enjoyable for the dogs as they are reassuring for the owners.
Dog's Country Club is not just a boarding facility; it's a place where dogs are treated like family. The staffâs passion for what they do is evident in every interaction, and they consistently go above and beyond to ensure each dogâs well-being. I canât recommend them highly enough for anyone looking for a safe, caring, and engaging environment for their dog. Whether itâs for boarding, day care, training, grooming, or their fantastic doggy day sessions, Dog's Country Club sets the platinum standard. Kai always comes home happy, healthy, and ready for...
Read moreFirstly Iâm having to use a old profile as DCC Have blocked my ability to leave a review⌠I wonder why may you ask? Well this is the reason why.
If you donât mind paying to take your dog to use facilities that DCC Have allowed dogs riddled with kennel cough to use prior then this place is just what your looking for!
Firstly I tried to deal with this matter privately, and to be left for several days without response I chose to turn public regarding my issues with DCC.
Firstly you will see many pictures attached, showing I have tried to deal with this privately and discretely. Dave at dcc however does not feel the need to respond as itâs not putting money in his pocket.
I attended DCC over the weekend and whilst there I over heard a conversation regarding kennel cough.
Later to my findings I see that DCC day care have had several cases of kennel cough on site. (May I add that the dcc day care dogs have use of all the same fields that the general public then pay to use on the weekends and evenings)
Truth behold my one dog that has attended DCC now has kennel cough. To which prompted me to send private messages and emails to dcc for their comment on why they continued allowing public to pay to use their facilities that have prior been used by infected day care dogs, rather than protecting the general public dogs health and well-being and the prevention of spreading kennel cough.
Baring in mind they also held a bank holiday fun day whilst their site is infecting customers dogs bringing even more dogs to their site than usual.
To my dissatisfaction DCC chose to not reply by any means, so I publicly commented on a post to now have said comment removed and my access to their page removed. (Nothing in the comment was out of line and had no reason to be removed other than to hide the truth)
I contacted DCC for their response further via telephone this morning, I was greeted by Dave the owner.
I introduced my self to then be spoken to so rudely and was told by Dave âwhatâs wrong with you boyâ
Well 5 minutes in to a phone call of being insulted and told âIâm off my headâ and Daveâs final response was that firstly Pennington flash (a public country park probably 100x the size off dcc with no enclosed pet areas that doesnât charge either) doesnât close when dogs have kennel cough so why should he. He also failed to show any Compassion for my dog and her now illness and also failed to understand that kennel cough can and has been known to progress quite easily and aggressively in to pneumonia as his reply being âitâs just a mild cold for your dog theyâll be fine.â
I think all in all this is disgusting behaviour from such a business and to be told if Iâm not happy donât come back because he has hundreds more customers To replace me is nothing more...
