Bought a $5400 Harman stove in Nov. 2023 started having problems right away. we paid them $125 to come out and tell us to clean the stove. it Worked for 3 days and we have to keep cleaning it every three days (even now). come to find out the door is warped or the stove is warped or maybe it just needs a gasket but you can see fire from outside of the stove around the door and you can stick a dollar bill in between the stove and the door and see it inside. the stove is only 4 months old It has a 2 year warranty they will not honor. If you live close they will go out of there way for you but being 39 miles away they don't want to honor the warranty. Had we known that we would have taken our hard earned money elsewhere. they were Glad to take our hard earned cash but when there are warranty claims they have ignored us. Contacted them 3 times 2 months ago and they have ghosted us ever since. I have had to contact Maine Attorney General and Harman manufacturer. Maybe they can get them to honor their contract. .......……Edited a month after their response……......The stove was finally repaired June 20th almost 8 months after we purchased it. The original review was written in May and AS WE BOTH KNOW, We were left to diagnose the issue ourselves in March after repeated requests for your companies help. We bought the P68 because we needed all the heat we could get, and you knew it was our only heat source. This review was written because *WE NOT YOU, were forced to diagnose the problem ourselves in February because your company was unresponsive to our requests for service. We contacted you first of march after we found the problem with still no help from your company. We filed formal letters with your company, HHT, and the attorney general in May to push for a resolution because that is the process with the Attorney General office. This stove operated at half capacity for an entire heating season due to a defect you failed to diagnose in December 2023 and you think I should be "thankful"? Do you know how disheartening and frustrating it is to spend $5400.00 of your hard-earned money and think we have invested it in a boat anchor instead of our only heat source because you would not come back in good faith and try to diagnose it (you told us to bring the stove to you lmao). You also forced us to invest in a propane heater to meet our heating needs. You still have not refunded us the service call of $125 that we paid you in December to come diagnose the stove. I sent you a Letter in May of 2024 requesting it back because Harman has a 2- year bumper to bumper warranty and this should have been warranty work that your company couldn't even diagnose. Spending this much money, we deserved responsive customer service—which we did...
Read moreI would think long and hard before I bought a stove from this place. We paid them $4500.00 by check with trade in on 10/10/2023 had it cleaned this June and I noticed that the burn pot looked funny so I took pictures and showed them and they come and looked at it. And they did get a new burn pot and replaced it. Then about a week ago I called them and said how long was the warranty. The late lady said 2 years bumper to bumper. And asked me what the problem was I told her it wasn’t feeding pellets. And proceeded to ask about this and that. I said to her do you think I’m stupid. This thing is a computer in itself. She said that she would have Kevin her partner. And haven’t heard back from him. So if you buy anything buy it somewhere else. I sent a email to another dealer and they got back to me right away. Talk is cheap to me especially when I have always paid them...
Read moreExcellent service call! My Harmon pellet stove dealer went out of business and I thought I'd have to have someone travel from Bangor or Skowhegan to service my 10-year old stove. But Moosehead Home and Hearth was quite willing to take a look at it to try find the problem--- which they did and fixed it without having to replace any parts, all for a very reasonable service charge. The technician Nick was very professional and...
