This might be my favorite course at Pinehurst. No. 10 is the newest course here and about a 20 minute trolly ride from the Carolina Hotel. The terrain here is much more undulating than the original courses and the views are more expansive. A caddie is a big help if you're not familiar with the layout as several fairways have slopes that can't be seen from the tee. Approach distances can be deceiving due to the valleys and waste areas so bring your range finder. We played on a humid day so shot distances were about a half club shorter than expected. It is very unique compared to the other courses they offer. 8 is a very popular course amongst many, and I love playing it. It's been said by a few that we talked with that 8 is people's favorite after 2 and I think No. 10 will be right there with it. The greens have a lot of ungulations, making it very challenging.
