Being a woman and coming to a tuxedo shop filled with men was a transition to say the least. During the first trial run to get the suit fitted the woman who helped me was great. She made the entire process completely pain less and made me feel comfortable. When we returned to pick up our suit, she continued to be helpful. However, the man who was working to fit the suit was very rude. He got into an argument with my fiancé to leave the back room where I was changing. When she stated she was waiting for her fiancé he said "yes well we'll take care of him and send him out when we're all set." At which point my fiancé said its not a "he" my fiancé is a woman. He then ignored her and said go wait out front. My fiancé explained to him that she was there to help me with the suit and make me feel more comfortable and he told her she could wait out front. As the argument ensued, we realized he was not going to ensure his shop was an accepting and friendly establishment. It was very clear that he did not care that his customer base was happy and had a great experience. Instead, he caused a scene and failed to realize that he made a situation that I was already semi-uncomfortable much worst for not only us but the other customers in the store. I have never experienced such poor business ettiquette from a business person nevermind a small business shop who runs their business based on referrals. I have had family members use this shop in the past which is why we decided to come here. However, I will never recommend this shop again based on how rude and disheartening the man running...

We couldn't have asked for a better tux rental experience for our wedding when it comes to Main Street Formals! They did a fantastic job in making sure that our guys looked and felt great on our wedding day. They also did an amazing job in helping hubby and I coordinate the tuxes with our color scheme. They had the best selection compared to other stores that we visited. And the most incredible part of our experience is what they did for my dad. My dad is wheelchair bound and living in a nursing home. He wanted to wear a tux and it broke my heart to have to think about telling him he would probably not be able to since we couldn't physically bring him anywhere to get fitted. Then we visited Main Street Formals after having a few places tell us that they would teach us how to measure my dad, Robert offered not to teach us how to measure him but that to make sure it fit without error, that someone would go to the nursing home and measure him! I almost cried, just the fact that he offered it at all when nobody else did was amazing. And they followed through with it! On top of that, when I went to Main Street Formals to pick up his tux, Robert gave him not only one shirt but three and detailed instructions so that the CNAs would know exactly how to dress him! My dad's dream of wearing a snazzy tux on my wedding day was made possible by them! Thanks Main...

I cannot recommend coming here unless you are an experienced suit wearer/buyer. I explained that I would need a suit for work and would like it to fit well but not overly tight. They sold me on going a size down from what I believed I was and that altering it would get the absolute best fit. I expressed all of these concerns during the fitting/pinning part but was told not to worry, so I ultimately differed to their judgement.

Ultimately, I am very displeased with the end result. The suit jacket fits far too tight, and the legs are also tight, although they did let out the pants a bit more on the day of pickup which helped slightly. Overall, I feel they did me a bit wrong by their lack of expertise or desire to get me in a very tight suit.

Oh well, my lack of experience did not help and so I am partially to blame, although I just wish they would have made their lack of expertise known to me. I will not be...
