2 stars for the guy in the shipping area who helped me first to tell me what dock is the number 9 because docks don’t have the numbers, you need to be guessing, second he brought the paperwork to my truck and helped me to close my doors and put the first seal, he’s a gentleman If I could give zero stars to this place, I would Nobody explain you nothing They should tell you since the beginning that if your reefer don’t get 28 degrees you can’t leave the place, my temperature was 38 and she sent me to the street to wait 5 minutes over there, nobody was behind me at 2 am, even that she sent me to wait there and come again to the place, another male driver was allowed to wait over there at the exit next to the guard shack to reach the 28, for me was different, she sent me to the street, come back, make the u turn and get out of the truck open the doors again and put the load lock she took a picture of the temperature, the green light, checked the fuel level, took a picture of the load with the load lock and after that put the seal. I had a great experience at this live kill facility! Once I understood the setup, it was smooth sailing. The staff is friendly and laid-back, making check-in easy. Drop your trailer in the lot (plenty of parking), and don’t drive into the busy dock area—too much traffic. I left my company info and phone number, and a yard jockey even moved my trailer for me after confirming the drop spot. For a break, head 3.9 miles to Duck Thru gas station (208 E Church St, Lewiston Woodville, NC) for a convenient spot to take your 10-hour rest or reset. I dropped my trailer at 3 PM Friday, and my load was ready by 4 AM Saturday—super efficient. They told me I could pick it up as soon as I was ready. Dear Perdue Corporate Headquarters, This place is being horribly MISMANAGED and is a disgusting mess.

Not having a restroom for drivers and making trucks wait a day or more to get loaded is inexcusable. I personally have been here 19 hours because of some sort of mix-up with the load which could have easily been avoided by a competent receiving clerk(s).

From the receiving clerk ignoring drivers at the check-in window, while she plays on her phone, texting and messaging friends, to the workers in the parking lot smoking whatever it is they are smoking, to the re-fueler driving the pickup truck around the parking lot dragging the fuel hose on the ground behind him, is just a small sample of what I witnessed.
