Will charge you $98 "for knocking on your door" after showing up 3 hours later for a service appointment. Then quoting me $600 for putting in a part that costs $150. I asked if the industry standard is really that far above 50% and he told me "it is for front loaders" then wanted me to buy a washer from them. After we talked he told me I didn't owe him a dime (because he knew he was trying to take advantage of my wife and made us stay home all day because he was 3 hours late to an appointment). Absolutely do not trust this company, they are going to try and take advantage of you for being old or a woman. Never told once their service charge until after he had looked at my washer for 3 minutes then said "my secretary should have told you when I knock on your door that's $98". *come to find out the part costs $85 so he was trying to charge 86% labor cost to install it. Which is literally the price of a new washer. It makes absolutely 0 sense except that they sell washers. Don't do business with these people. The repair guy also tried to slam my door in my face when he left. I cannot believe this is one of the only repair places in aiken, or how they've stayed in business this long. I'll just buy a brand new washer from home depot or repair it myself instead of having to deal with these crooks. Just look at the pictures I took "brand new" appliances are left outside under a 6inch scuttle with no other kind if protection. The front, sides, and back of the entire property and the 2 buildings next to their main building is covered in appliances they couldn't (or didn't want) to repair so they could sell you a "brand new" one that was sitting out on another piece of their business's property. They are taking advantage of people that are return customers because they're retired and old and don't know how to use the internet to research repair costs, items needed to be repaired, or other competitor's pricing. **Beech Island Appliance will do it with parts and labor for $311. Literally half of what I got quoted by Davis Appliance (who is located 0.2 miles from my home) they gave me a quote before coming out and didn't charge me a diagnostic fee. I would highly recommend Beech Island Appliance if you live in or around Aiken.

Call Davis Applicance Repair * FIRST !! I had another company come to repair my dryer. They told me it could not be fixed. I purchased a new washer/dryer set and came across Davis when I searched to sell my existing washer and the broken dryer to offset the expense of the new pair. New set was installed and Davis came to pick up my old set. Well, Davis called the next day to tell me my dryer COULD be repaired. I returned the new set and Davis brought back my own original washer and totally fixed dryer - which now works wonderfully. Cost a lot less for a repair vs replacement. Through the entrie process, Davis was truthful, forthright, professional . . . a truly exceptional experience and Davis now has my loyalty for any appliance repair !!

I am very sad to leave this review. We bought my father a lift chair July 2023. At the time, we were satisfied with customer service and delivery. However, in May 2023, the chair malfunctioned, making it unusable. This was problematic, as this is where my father sleeps and he does not have a bed. We contacted Davis Appliance, who got us in contact with Epic Upholstery, the company whom the warranty is through. We expressed our problem to them, including the fact that my father has no where to sleep but the couch until the lift chair is repaired. 5/20 the technician came out, and here it is 7/6/24 and THE CHAIR IS NOT REPAIRED.

A technician was not able to come out until 5/20. His name was Quan and he was very polite, called before his commute to Atlanta and left a message including his ETA. He identified the part that was needed, which he said Epic Upholstery would order, and we would then schedule the next Epic tech appointment. It was ordered 10 days later, and shipped to our address 6/20, a month later! We again called Epic to make an appointment, which was not available until 7/3. On 6/28, a representative called to confirm the appointment on 7/3.

I called that afternoon 7/3 as no one arrived to fix the chair. I was told the technician called, but since no one answered they cancelled the appointment! Again, the appointment had already been confirmed the previous Friday. I called Epic to speak to someone, and was told a Manager would be calling me by the end of the day. I received no call/no new voicemails.

Davis Appliance, please select a reputable and dependable company to offer a warranty to your customers. Otherwise you well-priced products are simply...

Called for a small dryer part. Knew what I needed and asked if they had the part in stock. The man who answered told me to call back with the dryer model number and hung up on me. If he had waited 2 secs I could have given it to him. Called right back with the number and spoke to a lady. She was polite and looked up the part and quoted me $15 and some change. I found the part online for $5 but needed the part asap. When we arrived 10 mins later the guy working there told us $20 rather than the $15 previously quoted. He didnt look up prices or anything he just spit out $20 which leads me to believe he made up the price. He also preceded to ask how we knew it was the right part despite already explaining how we knew it was right over the phone. For a quick part the transaction and price was ok but the overall experience wasnt great and we wont be...
