I bought an interstate battery in October 2018 because of their warranty and the battery kept dying, even after repeated recharge. 5 months later (March 2019), I took the battery to the North Augusta store where they tested the battery and pronounced it dead and admitted it was still under warranty, but demanded the receipt before they would honor their warranty. I read their warranty and nowhere does it say I MUST present the receipt to validate the warranty, but that I MAY present it to establish the date I bought it. These guys are the experts of batteries and many of our new cars have very sophisticated electronic control modules. Coded key fobs alarm systems and these guys have the special tools to make sure that not only will you get the best battery but all your codes and contacts and etc. Won't be lost from your computer system in your car. Or worse, yet you end up at the dealership getting your key fobs recoded for three or $400 after getting your battery swapped at...
Read moreThis location does not honor Interstate's warrantee. I brought in a battery with a mfg date code clearly marked and and still under warrantee. I did not have my receipt of purchase. The Interstate website clearly shows a receipt is not required. However this location stated it was "their policy" to require a receipt. I asked for them to show me the policy or warrantee showing I was not correct. They did not or could not produce any such document.
