It's an easy 2-3 hour wait, I was told they have been backed up since Covid.
Over chat support I was given the incorrect information - which I verified twice with the support representative. This costs me roughly 1k in total benefits. If you can, going into the office and speaking with someone who actually knows what they are doing will resolve any issues 10x faster - even with the wait. You will wait on the phone just as long (and then get disconnected).
Everybody was extremely nice and the employee I dealt with was professional, patient, courteous and knowledgeable. A+
The only complaint I have regarding this office is that during my 2 hour wait, an employee spoke with clients in the front row. She mentioned a couple of heavily debunked conspiracy theories, like how there's 33 immunizations with anti-freeze in them.
This seems extremely unprofessional for a federal employee, or any employee for that matter. Undermining public faith in immunization is a good way to get people killed and poses a real and serious threat for the entire community. This has already been heavily debunked as false. Anyone that has a close friend or family member that is in the medical profession can attest to the falsehood and the dangers of spreading misinformation like this.
This employee wasn't rude or unfriendly, she just spoke in a unprofessional manner that is unbefitting of a federal government employee. The last thing I want to hear when I go to the DMV, ISD, etc. are political ideologies.
Other than that, I would highly recommend going into the office over all other forms of communication. They resolved my issues, and this was probably just a momentary lapse...
Read moreI attempted to use the chat feature and after I verified all my information all of a sudden it says that the agent ended my chat I went through this roundabout BS process three times before I finally called and wait on hold for 40 minutes only to have my call answered and silence for 10 minutes. Is this office incompetent or did they just want people to starve? Probably both. I turn in my recertification with plenty of time for this joke of an office to get it done in time but do they?! Of course not they send me multiple notices of delay that they are unable to get my recertification done and then finally they asked for my entire month of November income proof of child support I submit a handwritten note from my employer all of my checks and my current order for child support, and what do they do they give it to the child support office for them to misunderstand the meaning of the proofs this office is so horribly incompetent it is bewildering!!
Now 2025, My lying ex-wife has been caught lying pass through the years yet this incompetent office is still by her side!! They asked me to complete a financial affidavit and have it notarized which I did and of course somehow they translated my income WRONG?! Go figure. Completely...
Read moreThe front staff and guards are very snooty, harsh and act as if you shouldn't be asking for help! Everytime I call it's a two hour wait! They need to start firing and hiring people who want to help the community! Alot of them are just there for a check!💯💯I feel so ashamed of myself asking for food stamps as it is but a illness has got me to where I am and I have to deal with people who think their above everyone there not realizing it's people like us who have kept them employed!. And that guard is so pushy reminds me of a scene from next Friday!
