This review is a bit of nothing to say only to report the conditions as we came in the dead of winter in January.

The entrance road was completely snowed over like over a foot a half of buildup. so we parked our vehicle outside the barrier and had our fight with the snow making a 1/10th mile walk feel like a while mile. The clouds were overcast and hid all the mountains in the viewpoint.

Best I can say is if you make an attempt to the viewpoint in the middle of January like we did, it'll be a workout and probably disappointing. But the drive over is definitely worth the sights so that...

Denali National Park is my favorite. It is huge! This view point is south of the mountain and has a lot of interesting facts about its white man history. I found it odd that the native stories and beliefs about Denali were omitted. However, the mountain was out, and I have system the native origin stories, so I was able to share with the members of our party. Still, I think that there should be some major recognition of the people who revered the mountain long before it was discovered...

The northern viewpoint for Denali - it has more space for parking and overnight camping but a slightly less good view of the mountain as the peak stands out less.

Definitely worth stopping if you are planning to head all the way through the pass up to Fairbanks but if you’re just travelling up from Anchorage for the view then the south view point is...
