We enjoyed the falls - it was a short walk in the beautiful woods - it’s a free site and next to the historical Gold Rush Cemetery . A five minute walk so glad we stopped by to check it out. The falls were beautiful and easy to get pictures. We took the shuttle - picked up across from the visitors center on the Main Street - cost $5 one way. We went late in the day so they suggested we call when we were ready to leave and a shuttle arrived shortly. There were a handful of visitors taking the shuttle. Some people walked.

Visited Reid Falls several times while I stayed in Skagway. You can go up the cemetery side for an easier way up to the falls or you can go up the other side where you’re kind of off the beaten path. Either way the hike up is only 15-20 minutes depending on how fast you’re walking. You can walk here from town if you’re feeling adventurous. It’s about 2 miles from the dock. Or you can pay $2 cash (each way) and take the bus. The bus that takes you here is the one in front of the Skagway Museum on 7th & Spring.

This little hike is a must do. It’s a nice easy walk with step up rocks. You’re surrounded by nature and the music of song birds. The falls are magnificent. There is a bench there, you can rest or just quiet the mind and take in the nature. FYI if you Geocash, there is one there and I couldn’t find it. So good luck. On your way down from the falls is the GoldRush Cemetery. That was interesting to see how young these people were when they died. A must see.
