Seward Saunas — Local services in Alaska

So, I don't typically leave to many reviews, But! 10/10! This was a magical evening!

All of my friends and I are on an Alaskan journey this summer and while in Seward we were wanting to have a relaxing evening, and you dont (or at least I dont) instantly think of Saunas (let alone mobile Saunas!), especially in Seward But, am I glad we found Seward Saunas! The process was surprisingly simple, All we had to do was pick the day we wanted and where we wanted to go! They were able to give us a great recommendation for a location (we didn't have a campground or cabin), they told us they could take the Sauna to the Braided River outwash plain. It's a beautiful gravel bed in the middle of the mountians, with several rivers that come out of Exit Glacier! They just dropped the Suana off for us, told us everything we needed to know, and just like that, we were in full vacation mode! There are big windows in the saunas that allow you to still fully immerse yourself into the Alaskan environment while using them! Mountians surrounding us, Eagles flying around us. It was fantastic!

From my understanding, they can take the sauna pretty much anywhere in town, rv parks, cabin rentals, the freaking river!

After a short conversation with the owners, you can quickly realize how genuine they are and how they just want you to enjoy your time in Seward. And their hospitality is unmatched!

Just when we thought the highest pinnacle of our Alaska camping experiences had been met, Seward Saunas stunningly exceeded it! Our mother-sauna crazy son quick getaway was turned into pure luxury when the sauna arrived at our gorgeous riverbank camp site.

No words manage to quite describe the joy and relaxation we felt, going to sauna and dipping in the glacial river for hours, surrounded by mountain peaks and snowfields. Our truck and rooftop tent were mere feet away from the beautiful sauna, a campfire glowing in between.

The ample lounge area in the sauna allowed us to dress in comfort, and the little deck gave us some extra hangout space. The sauna is beautifully built, the wood heated “kiuas” perfectly sized, and the steam soft and comforting. The picture windows offered jaw-dropping views of the mountain and snowfields across the river.

Everyone we met from Seward Saunas from the first email to the pickup on our last morning were friendly, timely, and exuded the joy of great customer service. Thank you!

We will definitely be back. Many times. This is a fantastic thing to do with family, friends, as a couple, or heck, why not even solo for the ultimate me-time! Combined with outdoor excursions such as hiking or skiing, or brinfing your buddies by bike or even a plane, this is an experience not to be missed. We can’t wait to do it...

Seward Saunas gave me an experience I’ll never forget! From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was part of something truly special. The warmth of the sauna combined with the stunning river setting created a perfect balance of relaxation and renewal. Stepping out of the sauna and into the crisp river water was both invigorating and calming—it’s hard to put into words how refreshing it was, both physically and mentally.

But what really sets Seward Saunas apart is the care and attention to detail from the owners. You can tell they’re passionate about what they do, and they go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable and have everything you need. It’s rare to find a business where you feel so valued and looked after, and that’s exactly what makes Seward Saunas shine.

I left feeling lighter, both in body and spirit. If you’re looking for a unique escape that connects you with nature and yourself, this is it. I can’t recommend...
