Beautiful spot for great pictures and to hang out for a few minutes enjoying the scenery! We had hiked up to Pulpit Rock before and thought about continuing on here, but did it more recently and were really glad we did! Leaving from Pulpit Rock, the Pinnacle is maybe another 2.5 miles on, but with not much elevation gain. The hardest part of the hike is truly getting to Pulpit Rock, and going to the Pinnacle is definitely worth it if you have the time!
From here, you can either go back the way you came and pass by Pulpit Rock, or continue on the Pinnacle Trail and loop back around to the parking lot via the Furnace Creek Trail or an even longer loop that we haven't...

They are right near Hawk Mountain as well, which is another nice place to take the family for outdoor activities. There are a could nights during the fall into winter that they offer astronomy stargazing where a decent amount of amateur and professional telescope users show up to view deep space objects.
