ââââ Warning: Avoid Albany Motors â Misrepresented âCertifiedâ Mercedes-Benz I recently purchased what was supposed to be a Certified Pre-Owned 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 Coupe from Albany Motors in Albany, Georgia, and my experience has been absolutely unacceptable from start to finish. I worked directly with Jordan (salesperson), Devon (sales manager), and Shane (general manager) The general manager instead of making the situation better he yells at me . He even told me he tired of hearing me rant and rave. â and unfortunately, not one of them took proper responsibility for the serious issues I encountered immediately after purchase. Upon delivery, I discovered the following problems: The car arrived with no temporary tag or registration paperwork. The odometer reading was roughly 100 miles higher than what was represented at sale. The interior contained rat feces, a strong rubber smoke odor, and visible dirt and trash, proving the vehicle was never properly cleaned, sanitized, or inspected. The vehicle was missing the required spare tire, despite being sold as Certified Pre-Owned. An old license plate from a previous owner was still inside the car. The car battery had to be replaced and A WHOLE RAT NEST WAS IN THE CAR URINE AND FECES EVERYWHERE . When I contacted the dealership, they refused to accept the return, issue a refund, or provide a compliant replacement, even after being shown photo and video evidence of the carâs condition. Every manager I spoke with â including Shane â downplayed or ignored these violations of Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned standards. I have since filed a formal complaint with Mercedes-Benz USA and the Georgia Attorney Generalâs Consumer Protection Division for misrepresentation, unsanitary delivery conditions, and failure to meet CPO obligations. Albany Motorsâ handling of this situation has been a complete failure in both ethics and customer care. I strongly urge anyone considering a purchase here â especially a âCertifiedâ vehicle â to think twice and do thorough due diligence before...
Read moreAbsolutely horrific customer service. Do not buy a vehicle from these guys. I recently purchased (4/27/2024) a certified Mercedes GLE 450 from this dealership, and my experience has been nothing short of disheartening. Not only did they fail to provide essential services promised during the sale, but their overall treatment and lack of responsiveness have been subpar.
Firstly, at the time of purchase, I was assured that a spare key, a new set of windshield wipers and a trunk mat would be provided to me (the latter was part of the business negotiation). However, to my astonishment, these items have still not been sent to me, even though I was told that I ought to get them within 30 days from the day of purchase.
The absence of these essentials not only reflects poorly on the dealership's commitment to customer satisfaction but also poses a safety concern given the importance of clear visibility through proper windshield wipers.
Secondly, one of the main reasons I chose to purchase from a certified Mercedes dealership was the assurance of a thoroughly detailed interior. Unfortunately, upon pick up, I discovered that the interior of the Mercedes GLE 450 was far from being detailed ( and the sales rep, Jordan witnessed the lack of cleanliness). The neglect in cleaning the interior shows a lack of attention to detail and a disregard for maintaining the high standards expected from Mercedes. Furthermore, I have attempted to address these issues with Albany Motor Cars multiple times by calling and leaving messages for the GM but no response. I've been met with indifference, unresponsiveness, and delays in resolving the problems I encountered during the purchase.
I plan on taking this matter to...
Read moreWorst car buying experience ever! These guys sold me a car, but said they needed a day to let a deposit expire after someone elseâs financing fell through. I was told the car would be mine the next morning if the current deal fell through. Called the next morning and was told that the general manager who I made the deal with had been fired that morning and that they would not honor my deal with him. This is where I should have known to walk away, but I stupidly asked what the ânewâ deal would be. After agreeing to pay almost $3k more today than we had agreed to yesterday, in an effort to get the deal done, I was told by the sales manager I would receive the final numbers and paperwork within 30 minutes. I waited 2 hours before calling back and was then told that they were currently showing the car to someone else and that they couldnât sell it to me until these people decided to pass on it!!! Seriously?!? We already agreed on a deal, twice at this point, they were still shopping the deal and they ended up selling the car to someone else. Iâm the last person to go online and write a bad review, but I simply can not believe how I was treated by these clowns. I absolutely do not recommend doing business with this dealership. Shop here and you can expect all of the typical slimy car dealer lines, followed by having your deal shopped if/when you do finally land on an agreement. Simply unbelievable. Luckily there are plenty of other options out there for buying a...
