Great 5 mile loop trail off the Kancamagus Highway - look for signs for Potash Mountain for the trail head. -on the 52 w a view list - you get incredible views on the way up, at the top and the way down -not to be hikes with tennis shoes on. A lot of the hike is on slabs of open faced rocks which can be very slippery -took me 2.5 hours. Went up the right side/steeper side first. Can’t go wrong with whichever you choose. Read moreAs stated by many previously this is a great hike. It has calming views and mix of hardwoods down lower and evergreens as you climb. Did it the first week of Nov 2023 and ran into a lot of icy rocks that weren't outwardly identifiable about two thirds of the way up and down on the loop trail. Be careful if leaving from the UNH trail parking as there are no "Hedgehog" signs anywhere! You have to be near the top to see the first sign that says Hedgehog although the yellow markings are great at the bottom but marginal from about the halfway point.
