Mike's Country Store — Local services in Albany

I've order food for parties from this establishment for years, but my last experience was horrible. I ordered 2 cases of chicken smoked & paid $183.60 in advance. The chicken was to be picked up at 1pm 6/8/24. When my sister arrived she was told the chicken was already picked up. They initially told her they'll fix it on Monday. She really wanted to get us hyped up & cause a scene so she could call the police & we get nothing. We had 90+ people for a surprise dinner party at 4pm. After some back n forth foolery the manager agreed to cook the chicken & it would be ready at 4. My sister went back 2 times & it wasn't ready. We didn't get the product until after 5pm. Once I called them on Monday, the mother Diane didn't see an issue since we got the chicken. This was poor customer service to tell Us we got our chicken so we should be ok. Bo it's not ok you gave it away & we had to wait another 4 hours & continuously return to the store & it wasn't ready. I will NEVER get anything from them again. Monday I was told by Diane I would be compensated something for the cooking time but not for the chicken because they would be short. She was more interested in covering her ratchet store than doing right by the customer. I never received a call or any compensation for their screw up. When someone pays you in advance it seems you would be more careful about giving the product to just anyone. My sister was in possession of the only receipt & I know whomever got the chicken didn't give my name. The manager, owner & his Ma are full of it. STOP PATRONIZING THESE SORRY...

I love my country store I like that and I'm continue shopping there for my meat and whatever I need there I never met him before like that I like the fact make me store this my first time ever went there a few couple days ago and I came from Florida I had a new store there they didn't sell me like that you know but I like the fact that might be still do pretty reasonable to me I'm going to continue shopping there I had a friend that went in there for me cuz I can't be on my feet too long and I'm trying to get me a wheelchair I like coming in would like to come in that store and shop some time and see what all in there I've been in Georgia since June last year I moved down here and I love Georgia I really love Georgia I like my country store and that's going to be my favorite spot to shop for my meeting stuff thank you night country store I didn't know where to go and shop for my meat but I'm glad my friend told me...

LATEST REVIEW 2023: June The customer service has gone down. NEW FOLKS IN Meat Dept. Purchased some wings,small package...got home cleaned them, salt and peppered them. They had a weird " ammonia like" smell AFTER I cooked them. Had to trash them. Yes, I did report it to them...had to track down a mgr on duty in the store.

Seems like they're having problems keeping staff at Gillionville store. Maybe I will try another location.

Up front, the hot food isn't ready on time. A few times the wait was ridiculous. I waited more than 20 minutes for fried chicken to be ready because they didn't fry enough in the first batch at 11am. It was ok. It had been MUCH better previous times. MUST HAVE CHANGED THEIR FRY COOK.
