Outstanding customer service. I went in to purchase a new tractor. After doing "my research" I knew exactly what I wanted. I was wrong. I went in the first day and talked to Todd. He asked all the right questions - what do I need it for? What's going to be 90% of it's daily use? Why do I want xyz function? I left that day not 100% sure and told him I'd be back. I came back on a Saturday morning and met Tom, Todd's father. Todd was out but Mr. Tom spent a good 30-40 minutes with me reiterating what his son had told me and all but forcing me into the driver's seat of a couple different tractors to experience the models first hand. We talked attachments, what I really needed vs what I thought I wanted. In the end, I came away with the tractor they advised me to get, not the one I thought I wanted. They were right. I got all the machine I needed without the extra expense of things I would later come to regret. I've never seen someone work so hard NOT to sell someone what they were asking for - and I'll appreciate that integrity for many years to come! They took the time to learn what I needed, provided me the right tool for that job, and helped tremendously with selecting the right implements for the work ahead (clearing 40 acres for a homestead). Every "tractor guy" I spoke to agreed with what they'd told me and I got to make an informed decision on what to purchase. After the sale they spent a good half hour with me going over my my tractor, being sure I was comfortable with the usage, attachments, maintenance, and knew who to call if I had question. Since then I've been back for more - new chain saw, supplies for my equipment. Each time they're as gracious as they were before the sale. I even had a hydraulic leak on a used piece of equipment I'd purchased. I showed up at 3:45 on a Friday before Labor Day hoping to get it fixed. Barry and Carson said "come on in" and had me out the door in 10 minutes flat. I make my larger purchases based on relationships more than the product. Who am I dealing with? What's their character? How much do I trust the advice this person is giving me? Are they looking out for ME or just trying to make money? With the guys at Stanly Tractor I think I've found a company I'll be dealing with for MANY years to come. If you're in the market for equipment, attachments, repair work, or a new tractor - I strongly suggest giving these guys a visit. I think you'll come away feeling good about the people you're doing business with!

After my sweet dad passed away, his Cub Cadet riding mower sat unused for years. When I discovered it wasn’t operational, I called Stanly Tractor Company to ask about repairs. Todd explained their services and even walked me through some basic maintenance I could try myself. His encouragement gave me the self-confidence to tackle a few things on my own, both now and in the future. When I eventually brought the mower in, the STC team took it from there and restored it to tip-top shape. Barry was my contact on that and was super kind; everybody there is so nice! I’m so impressed by the exceptional support and care Stanly Tractor Company has provided years after the original sale. To any ladies who might feel unsure about lawn mower maintenance, Todd was patient and made me feel empowered. I highly recommend Stanly Tractor Company for their honesty, expertise, professionalism, and genuine kindness. Thank you, Todd and team, for restoring my dad’s mower and bringing me unexpected joy in the process. My neighbors and I actually cheered and high-fived when it came back to life!

A special person we call a friend, Todd Hellman of Stanly Tractor in New London, N.C. He went beyond the regular guy selling tractors. Delivered my L2501 and its BH77 to my home. Then took 2 hours of his time to teach me how to use it. I've called him numerous times to answer questions concerning its operation. Never once did he not have time for me. Even on a Sunday. Get this, after I forgot to take my 3pt. hitch off his truck (because the BH77 was attached), I called him to just send it and I'll pay to ship it. Nope, on his next trip this way he dropped it off and showed me how to install it. Who does that, nowadays. Great guy and his mom, too.

As quick as I'd like to type just a one line response with my opinion, I'll give my entire experience and let you make your own opinion.

I purchased a Kubota Z700 series mower brand new, with 4 hours on it. I've had it less than three months, and have used it three times since it wasn't mowing season yet. I went to use my mower on a Saturday (April 8th) and it would not start. I'm not a mechanic, but I do know the basics. I unhooked the battery and charged it for around 4-5 hours. I hooked everything back up and it still would not do anything. It would turn over once, then start clicking. I tried different safety sensors, (i.e. parking brake, steering arms, blades engaged), and when I would do that it would not turn over at all. Next I took a new battery from another zero turn that I had access to and put it in my mower. It did the same thing. Turn over once then start clicking. (This battery worked fine before and after this in the other mower.)

I called Stanly Tractor and told them the problems I was having. The young guy on the phone said I could bring it in to have it fixed. I asked about it being under warranty being it was new and I had used it three times for residential use (had 7 hours on it). He said depending on what was wrong with the mower would depend on if it was covered by warranty. I wasn't thrilled about this, but he said they could do a $60 diagnostic test to see what the problem was then contact me. We went with that.

I took the mower to Stanly Tractor and it would not do anything. Myself and two employees rolled the lawn mower off the trailer and they took my contact information. I believe this was Tuesday, April 11th.

I was told they were a week out with service. On Wednesday the 19th I called to get an update. I called at 8:45 that morning and was told the technician working on my mower was late coming in, and would contact me back within an hour. I called back around 3:30 that afternoon to be told that the technician still wasn't there, but they'd check to see what was going on. I was told over the phone that the ticket had that there was a problem with an electrical relay and a fuse. They also told me on the phone that the ticket wasn't marked completed, so they would call me first thing Thursday morning.

Thursday morning, the owner's son, Barry calls me. He tells me my mower is ready for pickup. He then tells me that I've spent $159.

I asked him what was wrong with the mower and he said that they charged the battery, and performed diagnostic test to find nothing wrong. He said it was new and was blowing smoke when first fired up. Said sometimes the new motors need broken it so they "ran it hard" and "put it under a load". It had 9 hours on it when I picked it up.

I spoke with him for quite a while with several different questions, but none were answered.

1- I charged the battery myself, and it wouldn't start. 2- I put a battery in the mower that was working fine, and it wouldn't start. 3- Whoever I spoke to on the phone Wednesday told me there was a problem with a relay and a fuse, but magically this was no longer on the ticket. 4- The young guy told me it was a $60 diagnostic fee if it wasn't covered under warranty.

So I was charged $159 for them to charge a battery, check sensors, and pressure wash my already clean lawnmower.

Thanks for taking the time to read. If you use them, I hope you have better luck than I did. If you aren't sold on using them yet, I'd check around other...

“My Kubota review”…. what can we say except 10 years ago I bought a side by side from Tom @ Stanly Tractor Company and We totally love it ! Had a few problems in the beginning but they fixed the problem to perfection even though it was was under warranty they done a perfect job and we have never had any problems with it since. It’s Still working great !! That being said we decided to purchase a new zero turn mower. We shopped around and done our homework. After a few weeks of looking around and making phone calls . We chose the Kubota Z724 over the John Deere Z930 and i can tell you now we made the right choice . I’d like to say the only reason we chose a Kubota was because of the service they gave in the past but that’s not the only reason. It’s because of the customer service of the whole crew from maintenance to salesman ( Tom, Barry and Todd) and all the employees in between like Carson , Mason and everyone else that we talked to. They answered every question we asked without hesitation. They gave us a price that was way better than I would have gotten at John Deere. We got zero financing plus so many extras not to mention what we wanted to add on to the Kubota Z724 . So, they listened and They were happy to fabricate me a bumper pad on the deck which looks great. ( thanks Carson ). Also made me an oil drain hose that makes it easy to change oil. The salesman Todd listened to all our needs in making the Z724 the perfect mower for us. And after several phone calls and messages ( thanks Tom & Barry) Our mower was just the way we ordered it . Also when Salesman Todd delivered it he went over every aspect of the mower with us and took his time in making sure we were satisfied, happy and understood each part of the process of owing a KubotaZ724 zero turn mower. We were extremely happy with the choice we made and will never go back to a John Deere mower again. We can honestly say that we made the right choice and decision in choosing the Kubota Z724 over the John Deere Z930. I have used the mower twice now and I’m very happy with the cutting and the overall performance of the Kubota Z724. Our yard looks better now than it has ever looked. We can’t believe how beautiful our grass looks and how much we look forward to the next cut. Thanks to everyone at Stanly Tractor Company of Albemarle NC . You’re an amazing family owned business that will service our family for many years to come without a doubt. Thank you so much for the last 10 years of great service and products and we look forward to doing business with you for many years to come. Jamie Lynn Blankenship Barnhardt & Ronnie Barnhardt 100% satisfied customer 👍 Special thanks to Tom for selling us on Kubota brand years ago. It made our decision so easy to know you would take care of us...
