Big Fork River — Local services in Alberton Township

I was fortunate enough to grow up right on The Mighty Bigfork River. Not three bends downriver from the Fork (where the Rice River Meets). Fishing, Snowmobiling, Camping, Hunting. If you are Canoeing, be mindful, there are some stretches of Rapids. Swimming is up to you, but there Are Hugh Muskies and the snapping turtles are not to be tangled with. i highly recommend checking it out. The area called Little American falls is magnificent when the fall colors...

Beautiful, pristine, the noise is deafening. The flow of the river, crickets and frogs chirping, birds singing, and then the rain. Falling on the leaves and splashing into the water. Loudest orchestra ever... Loved it. Photos are copyrighted 2021...
