I have played Albion twice which together included all three nines. Both times the conditions of the fairways and greens were good. Although really dense in places, the rough was a reasonable height that did not make it difficult to find a ball. I don't think my foursome lost a single ball in the rough.
The Granite and Rock courses are of average design quality but the Boulder course is a phenomenally good design and aesthetically beautiful. All three nines sit amidst a tranquil farmland setting with few, if any, outside distractions. The amount of play is low enough that the fairways are not pockmarked with divots everywhere like courses closer to the Twin Cities.
Aside from the great courses the next best part of Albion Ridges is the cost. My foursome played 18 holes for $25 each including carts (with GPS) on a weekday morning. Even though it is 15 miles further each way for me to drive than my "home" course, I look forward to playing Albion Ridges...

Read moreI have been a patron at Albion Ridges for many years and truly appreciate the course, conditions, expertise, and customer service. As far as Steve's rating is concerned I believe it is wrong to put the onus on the staff when he was creating the problem requiring the staff to react. Knowing he may like a pleasant outing and to grow the game of golf, he should have practiced with his guests in advance of going or scheduled an outing when not on the weekend or prime time. His attitude towards the course staff was misplaced and was actually a disservice...
