Kept close to $7,000 for wheels ordered, that were never received or refunded close to two years still haven’t received one cent.
After meeting a gentleman at a truck show in Houston that had his pickup restored by EMW, I decided to take my fathers pick for a restoration as a gift for his birthday. I was requested by the shop manager Tim to pay close to 7,000 for wheels to be ordered so they’d be ready when the truck was completed as they were to be custom cut. The truck sat there for almost one year with nothing done to it as they were to busy with the show. About month 10 I ran into the same guy at a truck show in Dallas, and told him my situation. He suggested I’d get the truck out of the shop as his custom paint job had begun chipping from spots bondo had been used 4 months after getting it out their shop. When I arrived to pick up the truck the manager Tim was angry I showed up to get the truck. He stated and I quote you should have Fxxxxxx called instead of being fishy about it. I said what would you do in my situation man the trucks been here for a year in the same exact spot with nothing at all done to it. I told him keep the deposit which was about 2k, just let me have my wheels, and truck. After talking with him he calmed down, and said you know what man I want to make everything right. I’ll give you the deposit back as well let me keep the rim I’ll sell them within 6 months, and refund you every dollar. He give me a signed invoice showing he’d refund the entire amount within 6 months. I accepted close to two years later, nothing. I have tried messaging them, emailing them nothing.
EMW you have my address, send me the the refund, or my wheels keep the 2k deposit. I’ll take the loss on it.
Anyone needing proof of this situation let me know I have dated pictures of the truck at their shop. As I have a promise to pay refund signed by EMW.
I hate to be the guy leaving negative reviews, but I had to let others know. If your trucks not getting filmed for the show, if suggest you stay away. The show is their...
Read moreHands down the best suspension shop in the world. I have had two vehicles bagged by Ekstensive. The attention to detail and the overall ride quality is amazing. I sent them my 1969 Cadillac Coupe Deville and it road amazing stock because it's a Cadillac. When I got it back from Bill they kept the ride quality equal but now it sits on the ground. Turn around time was about six weeks after they told me two to three weeks but this is when the big Texas snow storm hit and slowed down everyone for over a week.
I then sent them my 1985 C10. We kept the factory frame but everything else was completely redone on the suspension including Wilwood brakes and a new rear end. Turn around time was about a month. Bill called me to keep me updated and ask about doing some minor upgrades. I added a few last minute requests and he always came through, knocking them out quick.
I've had the C10 now at other shops for engine and transmission work. These techs raved about the attention to detail and how it's the best work they've ever seen.
I plan to send Ekstensive more jobs down the road. These two vehicles of mine ride amazing!!! Thanks Bill and team!
Oh, prices: $9000 for the caddy bag job. C10 was more but so much more changed out. Other shops charge around $6500 but knowing it was done right and by the best is worth...
Read moreI went in today to get a quote to get some work done on my car. I told the guy at the front desk what I wanted. To modify my car to fit some wheels. He literally said they don't do that there. I looked at him confused like what. I looked around the shop. Then he said if I wanted anything done do it online. They don't do walk ups. He said literally everybody who gets work done does it online. I said so your basically telling me I came for nothing he said yeah. Go online and get in contact with them. I went online it literally says come in and see us. I don't know who the guy was. I went in on 8/14/2024 at 4:45 pm. He was sitting at the front desk. I just left cause it seems like he didn't want me to do any business there. I drove my cadillac up to the shop. He even told me they can't take in any work we're backed up. So he basically told me yall didn't want my business. I know this doesn't reflect the business at all. Everyone always talks nice about everyone else there. Ive seen Bill at many shows. He looks like a cool guy. But this guy here. I don't know what his problem was. I was nice...
