Clear Fork Materials — Local services in Aledo

My rating is based on my experience only. From looking at their piles of materials they have decent to good stuff and wide selection at good prices. I was needing 1” crushed rock(something I have used several times in the past from other suppliers.). I was directed to their sample boxes that had everything divided out. The crushed rock samples were what I was used to. 1” or 1 3/4” choices. Clean , standard sized rock with No screening material, shards tiny bits etc. my truck was loaded from pile I was directed to. Got home to unload and found I had road-base material. Perhaps 1/3 was 1” crushed rock and rest was screening material. Same stuff I had in driveway. (Caliche, white powder coated mess). Spent much of time trying to pick out the larger stones to use in french drain. Remaining was dumped in driveway. Not even close to the sample box. Huge waste of money, time and work. I will need additional load to make up difference and...

This place has great dirt and service. I bought 10 yards of the Garden Blend and they had it out the same day. I think they mixed up some super duper batch for me because it grows vegetables like crazy. The first picture is October 18th. The second is November 18th. So in one month look at the difference. This is just their soil without tilling. Just on top of the rocky soil that was there.

You should not buy your soil anywhere else.

I was real shocked when I went to go get top soil. My father in law always has been geting top soil from here and has always been great, but the last visit it was loaded smaller then usual. When I went inside to ask what was going on, the lady at the counter was really rude and keeped telling me they change buckets. I explained to her that the load looked alot smaller then what we have been use to getting and she rolled her eyes and kept telling me the bucket was change. I tried to explained to her that it was smaller load then what I used to get she did not care, she rolled her eyes and was ignoring me what I was saying.
