Do not settle when it comes to the care of a loved one. I have never felt more desperate than I did almost 6wks ago when my family was referred to Harvest of Aledo. It was just two days after the funeral of my "Aunt Mother's son when we were met with the care and kindness of their intake person. It was nothing less than a God send. My cousin, aunt and I were met at the door of HA and swept off our feet after a long journey. Impressed is an understatement. We were relieved and hopeful we landed a gold mine. My 30 year career in health care demanded I reserve my review for the settle in. No place is perfect and they admitted it day 1. They also backed that statement with all the support names we needed. The staff nurse, front desk and care staff, check! The chef and dinning staff, check!. Matinee man, check. Happy fellow residents, check! Those checks are what speaks to the standards of great management. The details in the beautifully facility and location are icing on the cake. The Harvest of Aledo became my home the day after certification and I’ve enjoyed my every minute since Yes, there have been hurdles to overcome and maybe even a couple of mountains to climb, it’s the nature of the beast in such a business when first starting out. But with a “can-do”, dedicated staff it has become to me the bench mark facility in the Civitas chain. Working here was abysmal. The executive director and corporate really don't care about how you feel. If you speak up you're gonna get let go of like I was. I didn't talk much or cause drama because I don't feel the need to do that at work yet I was made to be the weirdo who made others uncomfortable because I didn't socialize. Nicki and Micheal I hope y'all see this. I don't appreciate being pushed out without communicating like professionals. I spoke to HR and now they're trying to get rid of me faster for "causing a scene" yet all I did was speak the truth on how I felt around the work place. Truly the best experience I had, NOT!
