DFW Reviewer here, and we just hit up the Stephen G. Terrell Recreation Center in Allen! The hype is HUGE, right?! So, is it really worth it for your family? The Good Stuff: You walk in, BAM! Kids EVERYWHERE! The legendary TREE HOUSE is HUGE – two amazing levels to explore! Perfect for independent adventurers 4 years and up! 👍 On the first level: the nursery for tiny humans, super convenient! Plus, a kitchen party zone and a GAMER ZONE – all side-by-side! Head to the second level for grown-up workouts right by the Tree House! This place is LEGIT for families with mixed ages! Memberships even get you summer pool access at Ford Pool and program discounts! Keep It Real: What to Consider! That Tree House is epic, but not recommended for kids under 4. The sheer energy of bigger kids can make it less safe for little ones. And here’s the big one, parents: they don't have an indoor pool! So, no year-round swimming. Also, basketball courts can get a little wild! Totally recommended by DFW Reviewer! Go check it OUT! You won't regret it! Stephen G. Terrell Recreation Center in Allen! This place is BOOMING with happy kids!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you for making my daughter's birthday so special! My family and I are proud charter members of the recreation center, and we always like to spend time there. The facility is consistently clean and impeccably maintained, setting a high standard for recreation centers everywhere. Today, however, I want to shine a spotlight on the incredible birthday party experience we had here for my daughter's 7th birthday. From the Manager Miki to the party hosts and all the friendly staff at the front desk, every detail was handled with professionalism and care. The party they organized was nothing short of excellent, and we're incredibly grateful for their hard work and dedication. We also thank for the thoughtful gesture of gifting my daughter a teddy bear. Kudos to the manager and the entire team for their outstanding job! Their commitment to excellence deserves to be recognized and appreciated. We'll definitely be back for more unforgettable experiences at the recreation center.

I literally watched a lady from Indian descent on the green grass outback that’s manicured walk back-and-forth with her water bottle do her stretching when she was done with her water bottle. She just threw it on the grass where there’s about 30 other water bottles. Date 8/23/2025. This place reminds me of when I was in the military how Delhi treated their country. I can’t make this up. What was a nice walk with the dogs is littered with water bottles and caps all over. Sorry it won’t let me post a video of the mess but at least without exaggeration 30+ bottles discarded on the lawn.

I have to say what my husband and I just experienced at this recreation center this evening is unbelievable. There were a bunch of young boys playing soccer downstairs. Out of no where you here this older gentleman yell you suck. We all look around and say is this for real? This older gentleman works at the gym and felt he had the power to yell from above down to these young boys. From above he (employee) started screaming at this kid that he sucks at soccer and his technique is not very good, he does not know how to kick the ball, bend at the waist and on and on. We are like is this a coach for this young man? Everyone in the gym was aware of the commotion and was stopping to stare at what was taking place. My husband witnessed the whole thing and this young kid did nothing wrong. The older gentleman was out of place speaking to the young boy in this manner and screaming for the whole gym to hear to this. It should have been addressed with management and they handle this issue, not the way it was handled from the older gentleman. We have decided we will cancel our membership at this gym. Between the loud noise coming from the playground area as soon as you walk into the gym, to what took place between a city employee and a young boy we no longer want to be part of the gym. The older gentleman that treated this young man this way needs to be fired! He should not be working...
