Dollar General — Local services in Allgood

This Dollar General is the worst in this area. I’ve been to all the other ones in the greater Blount County area. They are always out of stock on so many different items, all the self check outs are shut down, I’m sure because of theft. And there is one person to check you out because there’s only one register. If you like trying to shop at a store that doesn’t have what you’re looking for and then when you have to settle for something else cause you really need it you wait in a line 10 people deep. This is the store for you! I will never shop at this DG again. I’m tired of giving them the benefit. Three strikes your out in my book!! 2 stars because the poor manager has her hands full...

This store is a very busy store. They finally got someone out there to get their central air fixed. They have the best employees here that work hard and are extra friendly to all their customers. A+++ store. NOTE TO CUSTOMERS FRUSTRATED WITH SELF CHECKOUTS: If you get to the checkout and do not see an employee readily available behind the register and you have the means to use the self checkout...please do. I like the store because its new and has a nice paved parking lot. It seems they have much more to offer than other area Dollar General stores with a big food selection and their other departments seem to have more and isles seem a bit wider. The employees are very friendly and helpful. They have three self check-outs and one check-out served by an employee. My complaint is that the hand- held scanners seem to never work on the self-serve check-outs. If you have heavy items like water, you can do some...
