I cannot recommend this course enough. This is absolutely my preferred golf course in the River Valley area. The views are fantastic and the holes are laid out great. This isn’t the most difficult course, probably closer to being a moderate difficulty but it makes for a very enjoyable round of golf.
The pro shop is small but clean, the staff are friendly and very welcoming. The food, drink and gear are very reasonably priced. Considering they have the freedom to charge whatever they want, the items in there aren’t priced any higher than they would be in a box store.
One thing that most wouldn’t consider but makes such a difference is the golf carts Eagle Crest uses. Most of them are electric, and although they don’t have the bells and whistles of some, they are fast, very smooth, and have no gps shutting you down in inconvenient places. On top of that, most carts have a removable ice chest attached and ice at the front door.
The biggest drawback would definitely be the range, it is an elevated range facing the interstate and depending on which section they have open for hitting balls you may not be allowed to practice with your driver.
The prices are reasonable for the quality of the course and I gladly pay for it. I have never met a rude person playing or working, the maintenance crew and greens keeps are pleasant to be around. This was the very first course I played at when I started playing golf and it has become the gold standard that all other courses have to compare to. I have never felt judged for being a high handicapper, on the contrary the staff have celebrated when I achieved small milestones in my golfing game.
To the owner: Thank you for making this course such a pleasure to play golf at. Keep up...
Read moreFor a local course it’s really well kept and affordable to play. The staff is DECENTLY friendly and knowledgeable. The carts are nice and clean. There was no sand in the divot container which was disappointing considering my buddy lobs more earth then golf ball at the green. The green are fast and beautiful just like my second marriage and the snack selection at the clubhouse was standard. On the seventh hole make sure if you need to hear some literature on Jesus Christ hit it at the second to last house on the right. He will drink you a pamphlet on how to hit the ball better and give you a bag of balls and well. The pamphlet contains some religious material, gentleman was very nice. Good laugh. Hole 14 is the most beautiful hole out of any local course for sure. The pond and hill top layout is just stunning. Buddy had to ruin the perfect reflection by sinking a ball right in the middle of this tranquil scene. Over...
Read morePlayed here May 31, 2023. Course was AWFUL. Legitimately some of the worst conditions I've ever played on. There was hardly any grass. Not an understatement. Greens were terrible. You're putting on dirt. Bounce bounce bounce. Fairways were equally as awful. Dirt everywhere. Hardly any grass to hit off of. Some of the tee boxes had ZERO grass. You're literally standing in dirt to hit your drive. There were maybe 3 or 4 holes that were actually respectable, everything else was rubbish.
No heads up from the staff either, though I understand why, because nobody would play there.
Summer 2022 this course was in PRISTINE shape. Was absolutely beautiful. Sad what...
