Seymour’s Long Lake — Local services in Alpena Township

Hope you don't mind this post but just seeing the picture brought back so many memories. As a child we vacationed on Long Lake. We're talking back in the 50's when Seymour was alive and owned cottages across the street from the store on Long Lake. He sold the cottages and we no longer went there but there are still the wonderful memories. Double dip ice cream cones for ten cents and comics on a table that you could borrow and return. Locally owned and operated, this store seems to be clean and well stocked. Be it a cold beverage and a snack or a complete luch, everything is always good. The staff seems a bit unfriendly. Hopefully they are not in stress. I will always support the little guy regardless but smile a little folks, it'll go a long ways in getting people back...

Great little store. They normally have everything that you might need. The rating depends on whether or not certain people are working. If it is the older lady with short hair just realize personality is not her strong point. Everyone else is FANTASTIC! Five stars if I didn't have to...
