Stull's Country Store — Local services in Alton

Awesome country store. The clerk was so nice and helpful. This was the first time I was inside this store. I was pleasantly surprised at this fabulous country store. Inside and outside, the parking lot area was neat and well maintained. You are in for a real treat when you go inside. It's like going back in time to yesteryear. It's a real gem. All I did was walk a few steps inside to pay for gas, but I could have stayed and looked for hours. I saw a small produce section, and it looked fresh and meticulously clean. There is so much to see that antique signage is displayed proudly adjacent to the entrance door, another display shelf above and to the right of the door. The country store had lots to see and talk about, but it was tastefully decorated and a real joy to behold. OMG, if you have never been you need to take the wonderful country drive. Such wonderful people, friendly country folks. There lunch is great, they have breakfast but we haven't made it to try it yet. We had their wings for Super Bowl, they were so good, big, juicy and reasonably priced. They have something different everyday for lunch and they will fix you a sandwich dressed for $3.50 to $6.00 or so homemade desserts just a nice lil country grocery store that is actually cheaper that Wal Mart on a lot of items. When they say downhome country store this is the type of place they're talking about. There is so much cute little knick-nacky stuff in here. They make food and sandwiches in the back. They have little picnic tables right there that you can eat at or you can go up the spiral stairs and there's tables and TVs upstairs. This is one of those stores where people just come to hang out.
