Great workout facility, BUT WARNING: leaders at the Mayerson JCC cannot promise that biological men won't be in the women's locker room. This locker room DOES NOT have locks on the shower doors.
This is a potentially dangerous situation in which they say they will respond on a case by case basis. This is putting women and girls at risk. As another reviewer says below, they also allow single adults in the family locker room.
They now have an "all genders" locker room (as if there's more than two genders, lol), but this is also the family locker room. There are open lockers, but four locked shower/bathrooms available.
Therefore only the three star rating as I no longer use the women's locker room. It's just not safe if the Mayerson JCC doesn't defend biological women to have a safe space to shower and change...
Read moreThis is a great gym. I've been going there for a while now after one of my friends highly recommended it. They have everything you need from a fitness center to indoor and outdoor pools, plus an indoor track for if you're tired of the treadmill. I like working with her so much that I also signed up for a group class with her and both are kicking my butt. It's a great place for families as well since they have a daycare facility, children's programs and children's play areas for the indoor and outdoor pools. I don't ever see us switching...

The place is still beautiful and extremely nice. While the fitness area is not super large, it has very nice well cared for equipment, and they have even expanded their number Expresso exercise bikes that I loved using back in the day. Part of my motivation for joining was to check out the good selection of group fitness classes. Also, now that I'm a bit older, I may check into some of the more community oriented benefits, or perhaps even try lap swimming again. Did I mention, they still include...
