Stable Run in Ames is a surprisingly decent course that keeps things interesting. It's great that holes one and ten are conveniently close, making it a nice, circular loop that ends where you started. The dual tee pads and pin placements on every hole are a huge plus, offering so many great options it's almost like playing four courses in one. While there are plenty of trees to challenge you, they're not so dense that you'll feel like you're playing a game of Plinko. The biggest negative is the water, which seems to have a hungry appetite for discs on a few holes. On the bright side, the course makes good use of some elevation changes. All in all, it's a solid, well-kept course that's worth a visit, just don't bring your favorite disc unless you're a fan of impromptu aquatic...

Over the past few years the signs have been removed for a bunch of the holes and some are wrong. It could use some maintenance and work done on some of the pathing....
