Two weeks ago a Male lap swimmer crashed right into me in the free section of the pool he broke two of my toes! The young lifeguard would not put him into the lap lanes but told me and another woman to move over stating he had a right to swim in the open section even though lap swimmers have there own area!

I spoke with scott the manager today having not been able to use the pool because of my injury.

He was incredibly rude, talking to other members while l was talking to him. He did not care that l was injured, he did not ask if l had medical bills, he did not apologize. He stated that they allowed lap swimmers to swim in the open section even though they have their own section from 5am till 10pm and open swim is from 3pm till 8pm. Because of this many people get injured and people quit this club because it is not safe!

Some of the young lifeguards sit and text and wear pants instead of a guard swim suit. There are two excellent guards Hunter and a older woman. Everybody has the right to swim, water walk without the fear of aggressive Male swimmers crashing into them. This gym has many and they rule because management does nothing to them. The gym has a duty of care to its members to provide a safe place to swim and workout. It fails in this duty. This club used to be the best in the area until new management took over. The previous owners never let lap swimmers into the open section ever, hence there were never injuries. I will now go to the YMCA in noho as they have promised me l will be safe and my...

Cons- $55/month plus $25 to setup a new account. Gym equipment looks like its not been maintained since the 1970s. Dirty, dirty, dirty. -Punching bag in the basketball court is cheap. Made in China, too light for an average size boxer. The bag will swing constantly because the height is too far from the ceiling--the ceiling is the top of the basketball court roofs....Ineffective

-Dirty dirty. Weight room is small and tight. Lots of dudes grunting and yelling. Most of the weight equipment is missing safety components or grip tape.

-I asked if the Wi-fi worked. It does NOT.

Just join Planet Fitness or another local gym.

We love HAC. The pool, hot tub, sauna plus the childcare make it a no brainer choice for our family. You'd pay much more for an equivalent spa visit.

The membership base skews older but that's not an issue for us. It would be great if they had a mailing list to update members on changes.

The recent fire was a huge blow to the community, right now childcare is not available and a free amenities are missing. But hopefully they will rebuild and return to fill...
