Mixed Nuts Food Co-op — Local services in Amherst

They are a student owned, and run, group that provides a study space and shop for students. They sell a variety of food items ranging from chocolate covered pretzels to healthy snacks, like dried mangos.

They are run on volunteer work by students, of which all types can apply. As such there is a little variability in their hours on certain days. They are closed winter break.

They as a study space are a little noise, but no more so than a busy cafe. And like a cafe, they have variable amounts of people through the day. As such, they have a times that are louder and times that are quieter.

They have a homey feel. The building is on the smaller side, but is made up for by having a fairly movable center floor. (The stuff on the floor not the floor itself.)
