We have been here for a few years now. We had mice the first 2 years. Non stop. Noisy neighbors. The neighbors above us have children that scream from 10:00PM-2:00AM. There are coyotes around the area. The maintenance team has been better than others in the past. Once a Month we hear the building fire alarms go off and have to go out until the firefighters address it. There are no back up generators for the amount of rent we pay when the power goes out so we have to go to a hotel. Every now and then you can smell the marihuana but not as often as the first few years. The weekends are more lively. People show up with the Base on high. Now the visitors respect the handicap parking spots but this was not always so. There is no room for people to move in bringing their stuff and leaving space for people to go out. There are very limited areas for BBQ, the lifeguards do not pay attention when the pool is open. There is no flyer announcing the last day of the pool so that pets can go in and enjoy it before closing. There has to be a maintenance plan to refurbish appliances, bathrooms and kitchen every 2 years. You are making a lot of money from these good people. Invest more in the community. I also had a tree land on my car because the parking lot is all outside and all weather and tree trimming and upkeep needs to be done. The Gym is good, the staff are great, just overwhelmed and needs direction plan for a maintenance and sustainment schedule. They just dis the roof replacements so...
Read moreHave been living in Andover Place for about 4 years. I like the quiet and pleasant neighborhood, people are nice. Nice large kitchens, on-site gym, and a pool too for the summer. Pet friendly, with a dog park, so my doggo likes it too. Its location near major highways is always convenient. However, these positives can be quickly overshadowed for you depending on which building you end up renting into. Many of the buildings have significant problems with mice. The management certainly is prompt in action, sending pest control, etc. But here is the thing – it may not always help you depending on which unit/building you are in. From my and couple of friends’ & neighbors’’ experience, building 700 offers a somewhat better experience. You may see an occasional mice there, but it is often quickly taken care of by management, and you wouldn’t see one again for several months, or even an year. Basically – at least its fixable. But building 800 is severely plagued with ongoing mice issues, and even with prompt pest control, really the structure itself no longer effectively lends itself to mice proofing. The mice have waaaaay more inlets to your unit than what can be blocked by steel wool. Their generations have now evolved and learnt to evade the mouse traps too now. If you really do need to move here, because the rent is one of the pocket friendliest in Andover, at least make sure to avoid building 800...
Read moreThe worst place I have ever lived. The management Roseland was extremely poor. The manager Victoria was rude and always had a strong attitude. During construction, they tear down my bedroom wall and door. My bedroom had no wall for months. The construction lasted for three months and I can not live there from 8am to 5pm. The room was very dirty. They even made a hole on my floor that I could see the bathroom floor under my apartment. I rent a one bedroom but it became a studio because of no door in the bedroom. I asked them for compensation, they refused. When my lease ended, the maintenance manager said he forgot my appointment with him to check the apartment. I waited for one hour.
Right now I live in California, the apartment here is very good. The management is very nice and efficient. The maintenance even check twice about my request. Therefore, there are lots of apartments are better than this one. You deserve live in a place that management does...
