Bear Hollow Trading Post — Local services in Andover

I have worn cheap, "cute" boots most of my life, and now that I can finally afford it I decided I needed some real boots so I stopped in to Bear Hollow. Julie, the owner was in that day and she was awesome. A fellow Massachusetts-ian, she helped me narrow down exactly what I needed and wanted. And let me tell you, I wasn't even sure what I needed. With great patience and expertise, and keeping my budget in mind, she helped me find the perfect pair (I tried on quite a few). Now I have cute logger boots that keep my feet warm in the winter or cool in the summer, depending on the socks, have excellent arch support for my flat feet, and have safety toes for when I am working in the yard or woods or just feel like kicking something. That was a month ago and I can say these boots are breaking in wonderfully and my feet arendoing so much better. I also picked up the warmest fleece jacket for a great sale price. Buyer beware! I purchased $130.00 Western boots for my grandson. The owner fitted him to the boots and I stated he is tough on his shoes and she stated he can’t hurt these they are made to withhold every day use. 3 months later heels were weak and top of boot at cease a tear showed on top. Went back to store today with receipt and we are told that is normal wear and tear and the tear top top was because he must of dropped something on it. At that point asked if they were going to stand behind the product and owner stated NO the company would not stand behind them. Really great customer service. Tricia (or Trisha) listened to what I wanted in some new boots, made a solid recommendation, without hardly asking she got me sizes in several brands so I could try them, had a lot of knowledge about all the brands they carry and why some might work better than others. She was a really pleasant and genuine person to work with.
