Ragged Mountain offers great skiing not only for intermediate and advanced skiers, but also more novice skiers, like me. There are plenty of blue and black trails to keep my kids happy, but having skiied at Mount Sunapee which offers only blue and black trails from the top of the mountain, I greatly appreciated that I could ride the lift to the top with my kids, and truly enjoy gliding down the mountain on any number of green trails. For my family and me, Ragged offers the best of both worlds: 5 stars for that! On the down side, we experienced a long wait picking up our tickets last season--even though I had purchased lift tickets online and had only to retrieve them from the cashier at Ragged. But there was no separate line for pick-up, and the limited staff, camera equipment (photos for passes), and counter space offered no streamlined way for anyone to get their tickets. After waiting and waiting, I ended up apologetically heading to the front of the line to ask if we could please just get our tickets handed to us and be on our way, and the staff obliged. This year, I purchased Ragged's low-priced, pre-season 4-pack, and am hoping to be on the mountain in no time...
