Jeter's Old World Antiques — Local services in Angleton

Like the review before mine, if I could leave zero stars, I would. My family has been buying antiques from the Jeter family for many years. Always wonderful . Brook refinished many pieces for our family, and again, always wonderful. I have been contacting Shari for more than two months, prob 30 phone calls and messages, and she has promised to put together an armoire for my mother that was purchased from her parents. Now, she won't answer or return my calls. I have called from both my mothers phone, and my husband's, and she picked up (ha!) and promised yet again, to call me in a day or so to come to my mothers home and put together her armoire. Once, her daughter even answered my call and when I voiced my concerns that her mother would no longer even answer my calls, she assured me that she would have her mother call me...no call...again. Today, I ran into Shari at an estate sale and introduced myself, she told me she was very busy and as I was responding that it only takes a moment to answer or return my call, she totally ignored me and started talking to someone else. Also, my mother wanted to go to the antique shop and their website stated that they were open. We drove to Angleton only to find them closed. The neighbor to the store said that many customers drive there and find them closed. I brought this up when I spoke to Sharis' daughter and advised that they should update their website for their customers, but was cut off and told she had to go. Sharis' parents respected and appreciated their customers, and that died with them, apparently. They would surely be ashamed how the business that they built for so many years has gone...

If I could leave zero stars I definitely would. I contacted this business after my father passed in January to handle an estate sale. The first meeting I had set up with Shari she just plain no showed after I drove an hour to meet her. No phone call no email no text.

After several other attempts I finally got her to come out only to ghost me completely. Called her today because I'm moving out of state and she had her assistant just tell me they couldn't help me.

Beyond livid with their unprofessionalism and general sketchiness. My late mother knew this family and always spoke highly of them but honestly this woman...

I love going antique shopping and by far this is one of my favorite places. So many antique stores all over Houston and the surrounding areas are insanely overpriced with pieces that have been redone. If you want an untouched treasure this is the place to go. It was huge and I loved looking through this massive antique store. They had a little of everything (glass, furniture, fixtures, art, decor, etc.). The staff was wonderful and very attentive.
