I used to really love Rendleman Orchard, but the last few times I've gone, it's been a pretty lousy experience. It used to be a lovely "hidden gem" almost, but anymore, it's so packed you can't really enjoy it. I think the owners seem like WONDERFUL people, but I feel like they've strayed away from what made Rendleman a good, old-fashioned, family spot. Nowadays it seems like the orchard is more geared to influencers and people who can market them than actual local residents. I'm not someone who needs all of the bougie photo ops, and it all feels a little too ritzy and hoity toity. Read moreWe spent the afternoon in their u-pick flower fields for our anniversary. Considering that we're towards the end of flower season in late September, we still were able to find several good specimens worthy of picking (though I'd recommend going in August or early September if you want better selection). It was so much fun and they have photo opportunities set up throughout the fields. They also have pumpkins and gourds as well as a nice selection of goodies in the barn store. Read moreThis orchard offers so much at a beautiful location. They have a wide variety of apple oriented products (ciders, muffin mixes, and donuts!) along with others such as squashes, peppers, and seeds.
My wife and I go there just for the apple cider donuts alone and everything else is just a bonus to the visit! They are delicious and go great with a coffee if you come early in the day (provided you bring your own coffee, not a big deal). Don't fret though, they make the delightful donuts all day.
