I have been a member since September(ish) of 2023 and have been blessed to see how much work Peter puts into his property. Every single plan Peter has talked about, he has executed beyond expectations and gets it done quickly.

FACILITY: There are multiple walls, target stands, and steel targets for each area to allow range goers the ability to train how we need to. The individual Tac bays are a great place to train shorter ranges, movement drills, and just fun plinking. He has an amazing 200 yard rifle bay (or long range GLOCK area😂) that has multiple obstacles to shoot from, shooting benches, steel targets, and areas to set up targets for zeroing. There are 2 porter potties that are always clean. And finally, the self service store/ lounge area are completely stocked with ANYTHING you could forget to bring and even accessories for your pews. There are multiple tables, swamp coolers and even refreshments for these hot TX days. To top all of that off he has added 2 ponds with fish that sent the vibes over 9000!!!

SERVICES: If you are looking for transfers, Form 1&4 information, and even purchasing the pews… PETER is that guy!!! Any question you can ask he will answer or do his best to reach out to his (seemingly) infinite connections for the correct answer. If you are looking for training or tips, he offers 1 on 1 training and usually will throw in free tips as he sees you shoot. The range also offers many different amazing trainers who specialize in just about everything training wise. Finally, the way that he treats each and every member with respect and love is what truly sets Peter apart from other range owners. Half the time I forget he’s running a business and I feel like I’m going to the range to hang out with the guys, that is what community is.

COMMUNITY: this seems to be one of the most important things at Rooftop. Building connections and making friends is so easy at this range. Members and non-members use a discord server where there is always a good conversation, someone willing to help, free information, and just some good old memes. This is a server where members actually plan range meetups to elevate training or just get out and slap some steel for fun. The community at rooftop is one of the most welcoming you will find at a range.

All in all…. I am proud to be a member at Rooftop shooting range. Peter makes everyone feel like family and he is truly dedicated to making the facility better each and everyday. I came here for my first time yesterday. It was an awesome experience and I look forward to coming back. I told myself I have to buy a cool jacket and hoodie and forgot on the way out so just another excuse to plan another range day soon!

My group and I loved this range and all of us plan to return and make this a regular tradition for our friend group. We love how this range works. But fair warning, this range is not for EVERYONE. If you are someone that doesn’t care to be responsible at the range, doesn’t care to learn or improve, or maybe someone that wants your friends to video you mag dumping and acting like a fool, if you and your group like to be immature, or maybe this is your first time ever touching a firearm, then this range may not be for you. However, if you are someone that wants to learn and improve, understands firearm safety, wants to train hard, values your rights as an American, and are a responsible and respectful individual, then this range is definitely for you!

We loved the proficiency test in the beginning, knowing that everyone including guys in other bays have atleast the basic and fundamental understanding of range safety helped all of us feel better as let’s be honest, we’ve probably all seen some sort of airhead dimwit activity on the range at some point or another. It’s not a crazy test, it’s short and straight to the point, and can be done in a matter of seconds as long as you’re proficient. No time is wasted at all, so don’t let that worry you. You can train and train hard, as long as you’re training safely and sensibly.

I had the privilege of speaking with the owner, Pete, on the phone, and Collin was the RSO that day when we came. Both are great men, with integrity and character. They’re also just super cool guys to talk to overall. Collin did a phenomenal job at checking in on everyone at all the bays.

As far as the range and bays, the setup is beautiful. The bays are well maintained, they’re incredibly clean, and you have the choice of both steel and paper targets. Honestly it might be the cleanest and nicest outdoor range any of us have ever been to. It is an incredibly safe and proper training environment. The other guys that come here seem to also be very competent and good hearted individuals, we met some cool groups forsure.

The prices are super fair, considering how phenomenal the range is. 0 complaints from anyone in our group. At all. We are looking forward to...

Rooftop isn’t just a shooting range — it’s an experience, and a damn good one at that. My husband and I have been members here for a while now, and I genuinely can’t say enough good things about it. Peter Kim and his wife have built something really special — and it shows in every single detail. We’ve taken rifle classes directly from Peter, and one of the things I loved was his data-driven, scientific approach. It wasn’t just “shoot and guess” — it was about tracking real progress, and for someone like me who appreciates tangible improvement, this made all the difference. It made me feel empowered, skilled, and for once, confident — especially as a woman in a space that’s usually dominated by men. Peter is building an impressive empire and legacy, with intention. Every bay is thoughtfully equipped with trash cans, target stands, various steel targets, tables, and canopies. There’s even an on-site store where you can scan a QR code and pay right from your phone — no fuss, no attitude, just ease. You can tell this was built by someone who actually shoots and understands what customers need, and this will get him customers for life! As someone who works in customer experience for a living, I don’t say this lightly: every aspect of Rooftop has the customer in mind. You can feel that care — from the layout to the people, and the improvements never stop. Every time we show up, something new is being added or enhanced and Peter’s constantly leveling it up. Again, although this is very male dominated, I've never felt anything other than accepted. I've been treated like a true friend from day 1, by everyone. The community Peter has built is incredible. In addition to all of this,Peter constantly gives back. He does a ton of volunteer work and fundraising, and even helped the Trenton Police Department get properly equipped with service pistols — among many other philanthropic efforts. He’s not just building a business — he’s building a legacy. We’re seriously so damn proud to be members here. Rooftop is our go-to range, and we recommend it to everyone we know.
