Been an Antioch Staple my whole life. My mom used to look forward to talking with a checker named Glenda when I was a kid. Still a small town vibe today. Using their delivery service is totally different then the rest. At other stores if they don't have something they automatically pick something "similar" which usually isn't similar or close to something you would want even if you choose "do not substitute" (I'm looking at you Safeway) I ordered some groceries and the next day I got a phone call and the lady left a message when I didn't answer because I didn't know the number. I called back and she picked up. Told me she was getting my items but she was sorry they were out of A&W cream soda. She asjed me if i'd like something else or a credit back for the item. I told her I was impressed she even called and gave me a choice and how other places just give you something else without asking. She said "why would I do that? I don't know what you might want or if you even want anything else." She sat on the phone with me and looked all over the store for another type of cream soda or a different size of a&w like a 2 liter. I mean it when I say all over the store. Like 2 different cold drink coolers and different aisles they might be on. Then she went and checked in the back all while explaining what she was doing, what she was finding, and eventually she just apologized and told me she couldn't find anything else we had thought of. I asked her if they had another type of sods and she found one and put it in the order and never once sounded put off or in a hurry and even said she was sorry again before hanging up and saying she would try and make sure they had some ordered for next time. In 2022 in a city if over 100k people and this store is still going above and beyond to make you feel like you are important and valued. Way to go Raley's you have a...
Read moreI really like the employees. They are very helpful. Don and Chrissie always help me find the cut of meat or fish, Martin helps me find the perfect produce, Chennerie (and I know I have misspelled her name) in the deli is most helpful, and Marcus helps me bag my groceries and when I am feeling poorly, helps me load the bags in my trunk. The employees make my grocery shopping a pleasant experience!
I would also like to recognize Jason, in dairy and Rich at the cash register as two additional very friendly and helpful employees.
Subsequently, I have met the General Manager, Kirk, who is friendly and quite helpful.
I forgot to include Chrissie, who restocks the shelves. On rare occasions, I am early, or she is running late, I see her, too. She is very friendly, and helps me locate items on my list. Raleys is a GREAT place to shop.
When Martin or Jason is not working in Produce, Gabriel is there. Today, he helped me select the best grapes, strawberries, and blueberries. Brianna helped me in the Bakery to pick the perfect birthday cake. She even added personalized the cake by adding a Happy Birthday greeting. The Antioch Raleys store has my top rating for grocery shopping.
I am looking forward to seeing the Raley's crew for 4th of July. I am sure everyone will be there doing their last minute grocery shopping. Even though staff will be stuck working that Friday, I am sure they will be their normal helpful group!
SEP 2025 I feel things are still the same. They have outstanding employees that are quite helpful, great produce, and...
Read moreI went to this store today and one of the employees named SHAY was being very rude bagging the groceries for me and my elderly mother she kept mugging us as though we knew her from somewhere but we do not at all. Just completely unacceptable behavior and she kept having a very stank attitude. Although she acted this way I still proceeded to be polite with her and I had asked her to not slam our grocery bags and she responded by sucking her teeth at us. I’m writing my review hoping this reaches a manger because this type of behavior is not at all okay. And again her name was shay she is African American about 5’9 and wears her hair In a Afro puff probably about in her mid 20’s or younger. Me and my mother is also African American & I’m pointing this out so that you are aware that this is not a report to just single her out. I have managed a company myself and I’ve always told my employees to beware you never know who might be coming into your store and also that the types of impressions you make on customers are very important because this is how companies make there money. Several people like us will not come back dealing with negativity like this. I could have been corporate for all she knew. Shay does not need to be in a customer service job behaving this way & management needs to correct it. My mother is a elderly disabled black woman (doesn’t matter her race) but in general she should not have to be treated with this type of disrespect from no one. This store needs...
