We received an email stating that we had a spot saved for fall of 2023 my husband called and okayed for our card to be ran for the deposit several days ago. I called today and spoke with DONNA in the office. She was very rude. Would not let me get a word in kept cutting me off told me that she could not tell me what spot we were going to be in and that we could not reserve an individual spot. I voiced my concerns that it would be nice to know where we would be living for 6 months out of the year. We just wanted to be sure we had an adequate spot due to the fact that we have a very large Rv. She refused to let us know that we would be in an adequate spot or even approximately where it would be in the park. After being spoken to in such a demeaning, rude manner and getting know where. I decided to let my husband handle it. I warned him about DONNA and the lacking of customer service. He called and spoke to DONNA and asked why she wasn’t aware that he call days prior to give okay to run our card to reserve a spot for fall of 2023. She stated you are right and she wasn’t sure why it hadn’t been taken care of. He politely voiced our concerns about not being able to know what site we would be in. We do not want to pay for a site blinded without knowing it would even work for us or if we would be happy in the spot they had chosen for us. She became very ugly, hateful and would not let him talk. He asked to speak to her boss/ supervisor and she stated she was in charge. He asked to speak to the owner or have his number and she refused. We are business owner and would NEVER speak to one of our customers in that manner. DONNA is the one in charge of this park??? If one of our employees ever spoke to a customer in the same unprofessional, degrading, hateful manner as DONNA did they would no longer be an employee. We dodged that bullet. Grateful we found out first hand how unprofessional and miserable the face of this park is. I hope DONNA finds peace and love in her miserable life. WE WOULD LIKE FOR THE OWNER TO REACH OUT TO US. Read moreCAUTION Truth ahead. My wife and I stayed here for 14 weeks on a nursing contract in response to the COVID crisis in the area. The campground is nice, and suited our needs, but the management is a completely different story. I strongly recommend, if you are reading this, to avoid this place. Donna, the office manager, has the worst customer service capacity of any customer related employee I have ever met. She is rude, confrontational, and so unbelievably frustrating to deal with. You'd think "Well it's not that big of a deal, I'll just keep to myself," but that isn't really possible. She will lie, and argue, shout and berate anyone who disagrees with her, and will do so without any evidence to support her perspective and against all reason and evidence to the contrary. I experienced it first hand, I watched it happen to others multiple times in the office and on their lots, and heard second hand of altercations with her every couple days. These related to mishandling of scheduling, campground security, campground service interruptions, lack of amenities, billing, site maintenance, and on and on.
I'm easy going, and friendly to strangers. I believe that respect and kindness must be first given freely to be received. This personality trait does not matter to her. She drove off multiple office employees, and customers during our stay. I contacted the regional manager directly and asked for some conflict resolution (I loved the campground and the people staying there and believed it could be so much better with some employee fine tuning) but no resolution came. And I keep hearing from friends that stayed there the problems persist. The price isn't too bad, but something fishy is happening with the electricity bills as well. Not sure if that persists, but be sure you track your own usage if you have the misfortune of staying here for any length of time. I'm sad to give this place a bad review, it's a beautiful place, but someone needs to rid the office of destructive behavior before I remove...
Read moreIt’s a nice new place. Maintenance men were helpful and friendly. There are two Ladies in the office. The manager who sits in back of the lady at the counter has some serious customer service issues. I have never been treated so poorly. I booked at this place for a month and was given confirmation Email for the dates I booked. I stayed from 15th of Feb to March 17th. February is a short month so the 17th is 30 days. Because this manager screwed up she calls me on the 16th and is all up in arms that I haven’t moved out yet and someone is there waiting to be in my space. I apologize and am sure they have made a mistake, but I also offer to pay if I need to. She says that’s not the problem we booked your space. She is upset and hangs up. I am out eating with my family and have no way to prove her wrong. I drop everything and start driving to the office. As I do I call her to see if she has found her mistake. She gets on the phone and says don’t worry Mr Janssen we found a place for the people coming in and she mentions no apology and nothing of her mistake. When I get back to confront her and see if maybe I misread my email she is now very upset that I came in to the office at all. She again says I told you not to worry about it Mr Janssen I told you we found a spot for the people coming in. When I tried to point out her mistake in front of the other lady at the counter she becomes irate. She actually tries to tell me we are both wrong because when I checked in I told them I was here for a month,. This didn’t make any sense at all. Then with even more frustration she tries to change the subject and asks me how many vehicles I have on the property? I guess she was trying to make me out as a rule breaker. I was a Service Manager for 37 years and she definitely doesn’t know how to treat people and own up to her own mistakes. Too bad, I will press for others not to return as long as she is there. Horrible experience to what could have been...
