I had an okay experience here. Come here early - as in first thing at 10 am, because I had come in the afternoon and it was way too crowded. In terms of the layout, it is accessible with paved gravel in the parking are and throughout. The shops were nicely themed to the era and had some interesting items like dragon bags, pet dragon toys, etc. The only thing was it was hard to squeeze around inside some of them with the crowds. Items were not cheap either. Nor was the food, though I will admit the turkey legs were pretty juicy and good!
There's plenty of places to sit to eat or just to rest and people watch. It felt like an adult version of Halloween to see people in costume. The employees also did a great job of acting and dressing like Medieval folk.
Also note to bring cash because everything in there was extra - on top of the $40 entry fee- yes including the rides and games. The only thing that was free were their stage shows which are located in one of their four or five outdoor stages. They also have a falcon show- it was okay.

Mostly though the $40 was for what seems to be an open air market and some...
Read moreAnother price increase, over 100 dollars for 2 adults and one child to even get in, everything was cash only, food and drink used to take card but not anymore, some of the employees looked extremely unhappy to be there, I'm talking like employees that are directly interacting with the kids. Had one employee that was attempting to put a harness on my kid, but refused to talk, so she was flapping her arms around and visibly getting frustrated when he (7yo) didn't understand what she needed him to do. I've gone to this event every year for the last 15 years, and it's been in decline, was very disappointed in...
Read moreThis place has gotten huge in the last 30 years. Some of the food vendors at 1030 were crabby already lolol. Always an experience, way too crowded to really enjoy, but I still go every 5 years or so. Note: being cash for food and drink, the atms are wild 30 minutes after they open. Everything is super expensive if you're looking for keepsakes, but again, it's...
