Wow, what a great experience. I never write reviews, but felt like I had to after this. I will never go anywhere else again for a remote starter, and I will recommend JD to anyone I can. He and his wife run a well oiled machine from the initial online ordering, to online appointment scheduling, to install, and follow up. He said he built his website all himself too which is quite impressive. Take this from someone who has had remote starters installed by 3 other places over the last 10 years. Do not go to Best Buy, or Ziebart, or Mach 1. As an northeast-sider I tried all 3 based on proximity, and was very disappointed each time. This time I followed the best online reviews and found JD a little farther away, but well worth the drive. Not to dwell on bad past experiences, but Best Buy scheduled a month out during December due to being busy and took my car for 24 hours, Ziebart had my car overnight 3 days (!) trying to get their remote start to work properly, and Mach 1 was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had, but I won't get into the details. JD and his wife are a hard working, successful, small business family who should be very proud of what they've built and the quality of their service. I purchased a remote starter for my 2014 Honda Pilot on their site on December 6 and it was installed on December 8. It took JD 1 hour to install and it worked perfectly. He said he installed 9 in total that day. The guy knows his stuff and it's easy to see, unlike the feeling I got from the 3 large store examples I mentioned above. I shopped around for remote start systems for months. I was looking to get a system for my wife that would allow her to start her car from her desk at work on cold winter days. She works downtown so there was potential for many things to interfere with the signal. I first emailed JD at Remotely Started MN with a bunch of questions. He replied to my email in a very timely manner, and answered all my questions as best he could through email. He suggested that I call to get further explanation, so I did. He was able to answer all the questions I had, over the phone, and explained all the details in a professional manner.
When I made the decision to go with Remotely Started MN to install the Compustar system with Drone Mobile, it was an easy decision.
The pricing was very competitive for comparable systems, but the service I received was better than I expected!
Both JD and his wife were very friendly and professional. They worked with me to get an appointment that was convient for me, since I was getting it for my wife as a gift.
Once the system was installed, JD gave a very thorough tutorial on how to use it. He was also very helpful with any questions I had after the system was installed.
My wife has been using the system installed by Remotely Started MN for months now, and it has never given us an issue. My wife could NOT be happier! She can start her car from her phone!

Update: After bringing my car to the dealership for some minor repair work, I started having problems with my car starter. The dealership swore up and down that they had nothing to do with it and that I should bring the car back to remotely started. I called remotely started and spoke with JD and his wife Brooklyn (spelling?). They were more than accommodating and understanding of my situation. They were able to urgently schedule an appointment , and genuinely showed concern over my issue. When it was time for my appointment, JD performed a thorough check on my vehicle and was able to diagnose the problem. The dealership had left my starter wiring harness UNPLUGGED. JD not only diagnosed/fixed the issue, he also performed some maintenance updates on my starting unit. I offered to compensate him numerous times as this was not his issue, but he refused every time.
