This is in response to the review Dan S. left. I am the meat manager for Simon's Iga, #1 we did not change anything in regards to how we make our ground beef, we still use the same all muscle cuts that we always have, cut here, and ground here fresh daily. We absolutely do not and never will use the "junk" that walmart and other chain stores sell as ground beef. #2 As far as prices going up around 2013, that is accurate, the spring of that year beef prices jumped up well over a dollar a pound on most cuts. I've been in the meat business 15 years and that's the highest jump I've ever seen. Prices have come down but, unfortunately, not to where they were before spring 2013. Shop around, you still can't beat our prices for the quality of meats we sell. Also, if you have a complaint, please let us know in person or over the phone and I will personally make it right. Read moreUp until 2012-2013 this was the only place around to buy quality beef at a good price. Looks like the same greed factor that plaques the bigger chain stores has taken over since. Quality (of beef especially) especially the grinds has gone down while the price is more in line to the junk sold at Walmart etc. I still shop here as some staples and the Deli prices are still excellent but no longer make the every 3 month meat hauls to stock up the small freezer. All items on the shelf’s were neatly faced and organized. Not sure how it would have been missed. Older woman working the register has also been rude on multiple occasions.
