Love this Park! Seriously. Spent a week there recently.
I’ve stayed in RV Parks all over the country and I’ve got to say that this RV Park has moved right into my Top Ten. It’s a lovely park with sixty foot pine trees that have to be more than half a century old running right thru the entire site. Great shade ~ considering you're in the middle of the high desert. Grass lined sites with gravel beds that are perfectly flat and all of them are pull throughs. I can’t understand what that Ari dude below was complaining about. Makes ya wonder…
Full hook-ups, 30 and 50 amps, and if you’ve got an extended rig or pulling an additional trailer there’s overflow parking. The entire property is unbelievable clean and extremely well maintained. All the sites are very spacious. It’s so nice to have neighbors that aren’t jammed so tight that you feel like you’re in a parking lot. Right? Professional laundry with games, puzzles, books, magazines, DVDs and Videos to pass the time while you wash. The bath house is also sterling. My goodness, I thought I was staying at the JW. Looks like it's been recently renovated. There is an adorable restaurant which has the best BBQ that I’ve ever had. Ever. Many flavors. All kinds of entrees as well and salads and sides. The wings, burgers, ribs, and tacos are unreal. AND ~ there’s a FULL BAR, not just beer and wine. Lots of friendly locals coming in for eats and drinks which I had great conversations with about the area and its history. At the rear of the restaurant there’s also a well shaded outside area to eat and drink that has picnic tables, cozy rattan ensembles, and a gas fire pit which is all surrounded with string lighting. Just lovely in the evenings. Adjacent to that there’s a play area with corn hole, giant jenga, and lots of other activities. I saw families hanging out there for hours at a time. The doggie area is expansive. Plenty of space for a good run, which also has all kinds of toys for the canines to play with. Can’t say I’ve seen that anywhere before. To-much-fun.
Remote as the park is, there’s plenty of adventure to be had in the area. Craters of the Moon is a trip. Literally. I was humbled. The terrain is mind boggling. Volcanic rock from 15,000 years ago covering the size of Rode Island. Yeah… It’s like being on the Moon. Nearby is the INL you can visit, (Idaho National Laboratory), which is where Atomic and Nuclear power all got started ~ For the entire world. I also visited a historical mining site just 20 minutes down the road which was amazing. Gives you a lot of insight as to what life was like back in the day. I also learned that there are lots trails in the area if you’re into hiking or All Terrain Vehicles and if you didn’t bring your own, (lots of the campers at the site did), you can rent them right there at the park.
I was very lucky to be at the park when the Illini 4000 bikers came thru. These are college kids spending their summer traveling the US, (from New York City to San Francisco), bringing awareness to cancer. Outstanding Behavior. The owners of the park hosted the entire troupe. Fed them, opened the laundry and bath house and hooked them up in the generous grassy tenting area for the night. How cool is that!

Read moreAn Oasis in the high desert! This well-maintained park is truly a home away from home during a long journey. The owners will go out of their way to provide comfort in their peaceful atmosphere. They maintain the property (grass growing in the desert is no easy task!) and provide clean bathhouses, laundry facilities, and a dog park. The food provided at the Restaurant is beyond delicious! The inviting outdoor patio is a wonderful place to gather on beautiful Idaho evenings to meet other travelers.
Never mind negative reviews (somebody named Ari, placed a negative review. I was witness to this narcissist who had no campground etiquette...walked around in his too-short bathrobe, purposely parked on the grass with his multiple vehicles for the 10 days he was here, preventing efficient watering and thus, destroying the site- the one photo he chose to share with his review. He allowed his dogs to defecate throughout the park without cleaning up after them. He rudely took over the restaurant as if it were his office, speaking loudly on his phone while other patrons attempted to enjoy their meals. He had multiple large packages arriving every single day and expected the owners to manage his deliveries. He has no consideration for others and has forgotten that while camping on someone else's property, he is the GUEST and should behave accordingly. This individual should NOT be trusted - his review is inaccurate on many levels.)

Read moreI am usually wary of smaller RV parks in more remote areas or near areas of interest, as my experience has led me to have many so-so to poor stays.
However, I was pleasantly impressed and happy about staying here. Checking in was seamless and quick, spots were level and had ample space between neighbors. The lawns are well kept and mature trees provide shade and protection. The dog park is filled with toys and has a tons of space for large or small dogs alike. Loved the on-site BBQ place…food and service were top notch; an absolutely wonderful experience. WiFi was the best I’ve ever, EVER had in any park I’ve visited as they are smart enough to have three WiFi networks to avoid slow down from overburdening one. They also have a fun family game area with “axe” (plastic) throwing, horseshoes, corn hole…tons of games, just super fun and unexpected.
The only downside is the proximity to the main road. Though convenient for access, there is an extraordinary large amount of big rigs that pass through at high rates of speed or lay on their compression brakes, so it can be rather loud in rows A-C, closest to the road. This isn’t the fault of the park, and they have taken some steps by putting large bushes and a green belt to cushion the sound from guests. Just made for an intermittent night of sleep, but to be fair, I live in a very quiet neighborhood so having any sound was probably...
