This peaceful out-of-the-way beach is located approximately 1.5 miles to the south of Lees Ferry off Lees Ferry Road. Here you will find plenty of free pave parking as well as a single stall vault toilet. From the parking lot to the beach area is only a few hundred feet, where you will find plenty of sandy beach real estate. This is a perfect place to relax, soak up some rays and take a cool dip in the Colorado River. However, do not venture too far out in the river, else you might be swept away by the current. Best of all, you will be stunned by the beautiful scenery all around you.

Těšili jsme se na koupání, ale voda byla hodně zakalená. Jinak krásné místo.

At first, I was puzzled by the name “Paria Beach.” It’s located far from the ocean—how could this be a beach? But once I stepped onto the sand, I understood. The sand is so soft and fine, just like what you’d feel at the seaside. It instantly puts you in a vacation mood. The water is crystal clear, shifting between blue and green tones under the sunlight. The backdrop of stunning red rock formations adds a dramatic touch to the view. During sunset, the rocks and water are bathed in a warm orange glow—it’s the kind of beauty that makes you stop and just take it all in.

This place is a nice stop especially after driving in the 105 degree heat during the day. This access to the Colorado River is clean and nice. From the parking lot to the river is sand and was super cold at first but on a hot sunny day you really enjoy it. The views of the vermillion hills add a nice touch for just sitting back and relaxing. It has sandy shallow parts and deeper “swim holes”. Not many people were here when we arrived but when we left the parking lot was almost full but it’s so big everyone is spread out and not on top...
