Please read this before making your decision to purchase anything from Summit Racing. I ordered a pair of Fox Racing boots while they were on sale for around $160. I thought this to be a great deal and a really nice find since my FiancĂŠ and I recently bought a house. When the boots arrived I found them to be size 11 and not 9 as I needed. I got in contact with Rocco in customer service and everything was flowing smooth. I sent the boots back and when Summit received them, they sent the "corrected pair" back to me. I received the boots and they appeared to be the same ones I ordered before on sale although the material on the inside of the boots was blue. I used them and when I returned home and was checking my finances as I do once weekly, I saw that I had an UNAUTHORIZED charge on my credit card from Summit Racing for $422.67. I immediately reached out to Summit and inquired about the charge and was met with the typical corporate cold shoulder by Remi "Unfortunately the boots (FOX-24347-824-9) on the replacement order are $559.95 and the boots (FOX-28373-824115) that were returned were $169.50. You were charged the difference in the price for the boots. " Again, I DID NOT authorize this transaction and was not advised by Summit about the boots I originally bought not being available according to Remi. I reached back out and inquired why my credit card was used by Summit without authorization and was shrugged off by Remi again telling me if the price was too much then to just send the boots back and sent a link to shop again for boots, as she puts it, "within your budget". The point was missed and now it was my issue to fix their arrogance. I disputed the charge and filed a police report for fraudulent use of credit/debit card information. I sent the boots back and was placed into contact with Kai. Kai now stated that the original boots I ordered actually do exist going against Remi's statement that they do not BUT they're no longer on sale. I ALREADY BOUGHT THEM ON SALE AND NEEDED A SIZE EXCHANGE. Kai then stated tbe best they could do is a 10% discount. Finally over about 8 months later I have the boots I ordered. Summit refund some of the money from the $422.67 but not all since my original boots are not longer on sale and I have been charged an extra $70 for boots I bought on sale and needed a simple size exchange... Summit Racing, to me, is a joke of a company and will take every chance to get every penny they can by any...
Read moreDear Summit... We've grown up together, so I know we can take each other for granted from time to time. We have our ups and downs, but it has been mostly ups... I just want to share something you may not realize. NOBODY WANTS YOU SHIPPING THEIR STUFF WITH FEDEX!!! Especially when you split the order AND GIVE HALF OFF IT TO UPS!!! I'm 2.5 hours away. I love that you can deliver next day (with UPS) without any upgrade in shipping. I pay attention to which warehouse my parts will ship from, so I KNOW both parts are coming out of Ft Worth, yet you gave one to UPS that will be here today, and you gave the other to FedEx, which will be here tomorrow, if I'm lucky. It's highly probable that it will be damaged when FedEx gets around to delivering it. You see, they have a terrible habit of postponed delivery because they don't like coming out to the country. When it does show up, it will be in a rented truck with a temp employee that hates the hard work and hot weather, and knows he is being under paid. It will have been dropped, kicked, thrown, run over, and generally have the crap beat out of it. Why? Because FedEX doesn't own the truck, commit to the employee, or care to have a relationship with ME. UPS, on the other hand, owns the truck, ccommits to the employee (who makes great money, with awesome benefits and a 401K), but most of all, UPS respects ME, my packages, and they take care ofour relationship. Derek is my driver and I see him all the time. Russell is his boss, and we tlk regularly. Harry is my account manager and he will fix it when it goes bad, which is exceedingly rare. Fedex? They don't care, and it goes wrong all the time. So... I'll sit here with half my order, carefully delivered in a brown van, while wondering when, and if, the rest will be here and if it will even be fit to use when it does. Summit, It wasn't always like this. It doesn't need to be like this. I suppose you save a buck or two with FedEx when some magic algorythm says this box goes brown, and that other box goes to hell... Honestly, I wouldn't notice the extra buck or two in the orice and you could ship all my parts by UPS. Please give this your...

2024 Update â 1 Star: I placed a pickup order that was ready today (12/24). I drove two hours to pick it up, despite the rain, because the item was in stock. Upon arrival, I was unable to pick up the order due to using a bank-generated single-use card for security purposes. Even with my receipt, ID, and an image of the card, I was told the order couldnât be handed to me.
The only solution offered was to have the item shipped to me (even though I was standing in the store) or get a refund, which would take until after the new year. I was then advised to repurchase the item with a different card if I wanted it sooner. Both managers on site seemed indifferent to the situation, which made an already frustrating experience worse.
2021 Update â 2 Stars: I previously had an issue with a cat-back exhaust system. Before purchasing, I double-checked fitment via Summitâs website, by phone, and even through an online inquiry. Despite all this verification, the part didnât fitânot even closeâand the diameter listed online was incorrect.
When I returned the item, the only suitable replacement was $30 more. I asked if they could cover the difference since I was already out $150 for labor caused by their incorrect information. The manager, Mike, reviewed everything, including my original question where Summit confirmed the part would fit. However, he still refused to cover the difference and even attempted to charge me for a box to return the incorrect item.
Ultimately, I was told to contact the manufacturer directly to resolve the issue. While Summitâs prices are usually good, their fitment information is unreliable. I recommend reaching out to manufacturers for verification to avoid situations like this.
2019 Review â 5 Stars: Summit Racing used to be my go-to for automotive parts, thanks to helpful staff, great selection, and competitive prices. While it could take some time to get parts pulled during busy periods, it was reasonable. Unfortunately, my experiences in recent years have shown a decline in customer service and reliability.
I hope Summit Racing can address these issues and regain the trust of their...
