I don't write bad reviews very often but I have not had many good interactions with this company. I have been frustrated many times about the equipment and the customer service. I finally cancelled my services and was told that they just have to stop the alarm service and I was done. It has been 3 months and my alarm started going off yesterday. I called the company to report the issue and was treated horribly by the staff. The first person told me that she did not know anything because she just answered the phones and then the technician told me that I owned the equipment and that he could not do anything, but then said that I needed to make an appointment to have the equipment un-installed. I said that noone had told me that when I cancelled. He replied."Well, I am telling you now, so what do you want me to do?" I told him that I did not feel like I should have to pay and he told me, "Oh, you'll pay or we won't come." The technician was rude and condescending and no help at all. I left this company because of this type of behavior and see that it is still the same. When I had the equipment, alarms would activate when it was too cold or too hot, and noone could ever fix the problem. I was told that "it just does this." Read moreI have been a customer for sometime now and just recently had some hardware issues with my system (low voltage & window sensor issues). I called a technician to come out after describing the symptoms and the indications I was receiving from my alarm. Needless to say I believe the technician was more interested in starting his weekend over spending 30 to 40 minutes of his time to actually doing his job. He changed out a window sensor battery after I asked him to change it out and he wasn't prepared for the low voltage issue which required another battery that he didn't have on him. Not a big deal, but when you pay $85 for someone to troubleshoot a system you rely on you expect some due diligence while they are at the house. Instead I got maybe 15 minutes of an unsure and unprepared technician. Not impressed, but I will say the monitoring system does carry the weight with this company. I hope I caught the technician...
Read moreI called Gateway to get a price for surveillance cameras at my office and shop. They showed up when they said they were going to and gave me a price a day later. I had a lot of questions which he took the time and answered them all. After signing the contract the install (on 2 buildings) went without any issues. They had to work in and around our employees which worked out great. We couldn't even tell they were there. No mess at all. They trained me on the operation of the system and confirmed i was good with the camera views. 3 days after the install we had some items stolen from our property. I was able to pull it right up and saw the intruders. We called and filled a police report. When the police arrived and viewed the footage he said "Wow those are some clear images" I am glad we didn't wait any longer for our install. I highly recommend...
