We love this golf course! 27 hole course, three 9 hole options. Two of the courses are more rough and woodsy, and one is more manicured and green. A challenge on all 3. They offer a first tee program and they also participate in the PGA JR program. The golf shop has what you need when you forget something, and the bar and grill is fabulous. The people are helpful and friendly. They just upgraded some of their carts and there’s always plenty stocked. The driving range has a wide area and there is a good sized putting area, with a secondary putting and chipping area behind the clubhouse. There are live bands and events on the weekends sometimes and great specials at the grill during the week days. A really great place that we truly love!

Great location plenty of parking, minutes from oceano and AG. The music on Sundays is fun. Food and drinks are available outside. Love the fact you can park your golf cart and hang out to listen to music. Definitely need some type of shade on the warmer days whether and sun umbrella or Eze up. Bring your chair, blanket and enjoy.

I was just caddy for my father in law. He played with his friends on the Oaks and The lakes courses. The oaks were in fair shape. Greens were punched but good shape. Lakes was in better shape. The fairways looked cut too short. Greens were in good condition.

The fact that this course charges almost $90 at any time of day on any day is laughable. There are hundreds of gopher holes on every fairway, and what grass you’ll find there is baked like cheech and chong. There is almost no living grass anywhere in the course. The greens had been punched recently which I understand is part of upkeep, but charging $90 for a course in such rough shape is crazy. The owners definitely have the coin to have better conditions but choose to keep the course in squalor. The guy at the pro shop was also very rude. There were no groups on either the tee or green of the better two 9s and I was forced to play the horrible oaks course. I had to wait behind multiple big groups when it sure seemed like the others were open. Only positive experience today was how nice the cart guy was, you genuinely earned a second star for this review. Everything else would be -10...

Didn’t have the best service at the grill here at black lake! I’ve worked in customer service for over 10 years and this person working the grill could use a lesson on how to treat a guest. To start she wasn’t welcoming at all. When I asked questions about the menu she tried to make me look dumb just for asking. I tried to add bacon to my sausage burrito and they wanted to charge $7 to add the bacon. She said you have to think, it’s like adding meat to a cheese pizza … I said mamm at some places for 7 dollars I can buy a whole pizza. The venue was nice but the customer service was lacking not only just from the grill but from other staff as well. I get it I don’t golf all the time and I don’t look like I golf but the condescending tone made me feel unwelcome. If I worked here I’d try to make it a fun experience. It’s a cool place to work but no one feels like they want...

The course is quick and is good to get a quick round in, however I every time I play there I get upset at myself for paying the fee. The course is not worth what they are charging, especially when you have monarch and cypress right down the street. Monarch ($65 after 1) cypress ( almost the same price within a couple $$). Black lake has potential but lacks grass and proper greens keeping. Also on busier days the lakes side often feels like open season with almost all the fairways running parallel to each other, gotta keep your head on a swivel. The fairways are also littered with gofer holes and are mostly densely back dirt, it often remind me of practicing my wedges in my back yard growing up. The course had a lot of potential however even the most basic grounds keeping and maintenance is being neglected. Spend the money elsewhere, go to cypress or catch monarch doing...
