The same owner owns multiple buisnesses in the area. Arco, Don's Liqour, Frazier Market, Mountain View Mini Mart and Gorman Plaza Market and probably many more that I'm unaware of. All the owner cares about is obtaining as much of your money as he can, it's obvious by the prices and condition of his establishments. I've personally witnessed employees being mistreated over and over again and I've seen women being harassed and and objectified by the owner, his emloyee that stocks the freezer and his relatives that work for him. Please think twice about supporting this type of business. The owner decided to BBQ when dollar general was opening to try and get a petition signed. He went on to tell multiple people that dollar general supports terrorists and middle eastern jihad's. This was even posted in our local paper but his employees were ordered to purchase all of the papers in town that week so no one would see. All in all this market is a health nightmare and is ran by selfish arrogant individuals. Myself and many other locals refuse to shop...
Read morePros Only market for 50 miles, well stocked, friendly employees, wait time minimal. Very grateful to have had this market during the pandemic and kudos to Ray keeping the market open and stocked.
Cons Only market for 50 miles. Most produce is from Mexico and the low grade quality of the produce does not support the outrageous high prices. Have to watch the expiration dates on perishable items like produce, eggs, breads. Meat quality has gone down yet prices have increased significantly.
I realize there is inflation factors and prices have increased everywhere. I also expect to pay a bit more at a rural small market. That being said, this market is so expensive now I canât justify buying here any longer. Making a point to go off the hill for grocery shopping more often and in between will do without something rather than running to the market...
Read moreCONSUMER BEWARE! Be aware of expired products. The manager was informed of bad shrimp I purshased at meat counter, and had nothing more to offer than an apology and a conversation of how many customers lie! On this same day my wife had picked up two loafs of bread that were on sale to bring Home and find they were stale, to then realize the expiration dates on the bread were two days previous of the purchased date. Obviously this manager will mark down, instead of removing, expired products to sell. We will no longer shop at this market! Not only are they overpriced, but obviously could care less about the health risk they place on the customer. No signs stating âexpiredâ or...
