My husband and I had our wedding reception here. What an amazing experience. Melissa helped us with the whole process and was very helpful and prompt. The space was huge and prices very reasonable. The bartenders the night of our wedding were awesome!! We had 3 kegs(only charged for kegs opened) and it got close to the end of the reception, instead of tapping the 3rd keg and having left overs, they just let everyone know we were out. Saved us $$$. We also DJed our own reception, they allowed us to use their speakers, which we didn’t realize they had till the day before. For 20 yrs I have skipped the fair. It was starting to take a nose dive at that point. In 2016, decided to go and try it out. I most certainly will go back next year! Between the food, the activities, the exhibits, I loved it. I did take a star away due to the lemonade. Every Dubuquer knows, you go to the fair, you get a lemonade. It's almost the law. Idk if it was a bad day, bad batch of volunteers, the recipe was lost, idc. What I did care about was a trip down memory lane was thwarted by a point of sub par lemonade. Minute maid makes better powdered lemonade. So for $3, I got 1 cup of ice and 1 cup of "lemonade". Keep up bringing in the well known bands. Like most county fairs, ours offers excellent opportunities to create memories and enjoy yourself. The cost racks up quickly. Best advice plan a day with center stage attractions wmyou would enjoy and get you and the family the unlimited ride braclets. You pay more upfront, but if your pack can take advantage of the various rides, you can easily recoup the cost in memories and fun!
