One of the best operational staff of any auto auction I have known in my 50 years of doing business and I have been to quite a few. Mandy Savage is remarkable as a GM.. Melissa and Keith are remarkable Assistant Managers. This place is organized and every department is exceptional. Every staff member I have come into contact with have conducted themselves in the upmost professional way, (except two) and they are gone, gone gone! . Thank God..! When selling or buying, Manheim Detroit is a great place to do business. FAIR. HONEST AND HARD WORKING! The auctioneers are very good, both on the block with the microphone and on the floor working the buyers. Jerry Caldwell has done a great job putting his team together. Sometimes the detail shop may slip up but if you check out your vehicles and they are not right, just mention it to management and it will be made correct. There are usually around 2,000 dealerships attending and with another 1,000 on line, they have the buyers. Offering close to 4 000 vehicles in 18 lanes per week is no easy task, but the employees at Manheim Detroit, Mandy and her staff "Get it Done"..! The pictures don't do Manheim Detroit justice. Pa Pa T says Manheim Detroit is THE BEST..!

Terrible auction to deal with. No ban services to pull your cars from them after you buy and pay they no longer help. Transport drivers plan on walking 10 miles. Charge at least an extra $300 to deal with this place. Many other choices than this dump.

Dealers prepare to wait a while after the sale to get vehicles out. Huge auction with two people checking vehicles seems a bit lacking

My first time at Manheim Detroit. I only towent to pick up a car I bought on OVE. Manheim gave this car a 2.8 Condition report and the seller said this "VERY NICE CAR. GOOD LOOKING BODY AND INTERIOR" . I drove over 2.5 hrs arriving at 7:50 AM. I went to the main entrance desk for help to find my car. I was informed by a guy that worked there, to drive to the lot and find my car along with a map to lot 7. So I did just that! I was meet by security ( Not a very nice old guy) only to find this is the TRA lot 7 tow out only.( I had NO idea of it not running) He said if I go back out he would get a tow truck to bring it out. I waited and waited 15 min then went to security to ask what was going on when she informed me I had to wait till 2pm per rules. I told her my situation and she sent me back to the main entrance dealer info to ask for assistance on a early tow out. Dealer assistance calls Security ( I was just there) and she told dealer info NO I had to wait and I could not go in the TRA lot. Believe me at that point I was not happy, nor was I kind after the goose chase to the brick wall. I had no intentions to buy any cars at this auction but I had no choice but to stay. The grilled pork Kabob was delicious I must say! At 1:15 I want back to security and asked if I could be the first car towed out and she said yes and I gave her the paperwork and waited. At 1:40 I seen the tow truck pull up got my papers and drove back to my car. I walked to the fence to make sure. I want back to my vehicle and waited till 2:15 and waked back to security and asked if he was getting my car she said yes. So I waited in my vehicle again till 2:35 when I walked to the fence two tow trucks parked next to each other talking with no car at tow! I was done being nice at that point! I want back to security and said " I know this is not your fault for their laziness and rude behavior but they are parked over there not doing their job and I DEMAND my car get towed out NOW!" She tried to radio them and no answer! She said I will text him, and at that minute the truck backed up to my car. It was towed out in less than 8 minutes! Yes I understand it takes a lot to run Maheim but the rude, no compassion, I get paid by the hour and could care less attitude just goes to show the lack of upper management enforcing proper work ethics within the company even if employees have to deal with issues they need to do their job in a professional manner and not like customers have no choice. I own a dealership and know what customer service is. Thank you for the first visit experience. I will do business with other...

This is the rudest company locations, even up to the main supervisor Vanessa. They gave me the run around alllll day long being an hour away, took my money and told me I had to wait 4 days to get my car because I had to schedule an appointment at the very last minute. I talked to Vanessa and she told me they had to inspect the vehicle and that even though when my vehicle was first repossessed I informed them I’d be there Wednesday and it was now Thursday and they did no kind of inspection is irrelevant, yes IRRELEVANT! Over the week of speaking to the company, they would not even tell me the process in getting my vehicle, even after payment. Speaking to different representatives I was NEVER told I would have to wait to schedule and pick up my vehicle that wasn’t even ready on their end in the first place! Now, I risk losing my job because I have an over the weekend traveling trip I believed I was able to drive for early Saturday. I asked is it possible to contact me if anyone cancels, I was just repeatedly that same sentence over and over after every question “The date we have for you is Monday.” People get in upper positions and forget they are customers in other places. Always record every business conversation...
